E. Closure: Shoulder buddies will read their letters to each other and the buddy listening will pick out what the reader is thankful for in the letter. F. Assessment: Assessment Tool The completed thank you letter will be my assessment tool. What Is Being Assessed? The structure of the letter as well as the listed reasons they are thankful is whats being assessed. G. Reflection& Thoughts: Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest to teach? The beginning part where we discuss what people can do to say thank you would be the easiest as Im sure all students have done something to say thank you in their life. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the most challenging to teach? I fell like teaching the proper thank you letter structure will be most challenging because it may be new to a lot of the students. What lesson or concept should be taught prior to this lesson? I think a lesson on basic letter structure would be a great lesson to have before this one. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? It would be fun to extend this lesson into a multicultural area where we learn how the different cultures say thank you. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? For the students who have a hard time I will do small group face to face depending on how many Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I originally wanted to have them write the thank you note as if they were one of the small animals writing to Alejandro to thank him for the water. This twist could be more entertaining for the kids.

When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? For me it was honest the simplicity of the lesson. With the Social Studies plans there wasnt really a story already included so activities and videos were used to fill that void. In this however the story already lays that foundation.
