This source provides an in depth analysis of what Multiple Sclerosis is in addition to containing information on cures or treatments to counteract the effects of the disease. It also directly addresses specific medications or treatment options and analyzes the effects that they can have on a patient. I will use this information in my research paper to provide facts about Multiple Sclerosis and the different treatments offered for it. 2. Saunders, Carol. What Nurses Know Multiple Sclerosis. New York: Demos Health, 2011. Print. This source addresses the effects that Multiple Sclerosis can have on the people who are close to the patient who has been diagnosed. It also provides information on different treatment options that a patient has after being diagnosed with MS. I would use this source in order to offer information on how to deal with a loved one being diagnosed. This source is similar to others I have chosen in that it provides information on the disease and treatment plans for MS patients as well. 3. Farrell, Michael. "RelapsingRemitting And Primary Progressive MS Have The Same Cause(S) - The NeuropathologistS View: Commentary." Multiple Sclerosis Journal 19.3 (2013): 270.Academic Search Premier. Web. 27 Oct. 2013. Unlike the other sources, this one identifies the different types of MS that patients can be diagnosed with. With so many expert opinions and facts presented, much of the information is reliable and can be trusted. I would use the professional testimonies to give my research paper more credibility in my presentation of the facts. This source is similar to the others because it directly addresses what MS is; however, it goes into detail on the different types of MS, which none of my other sources does.

This source is nothing more than a definition of what Multiple Sclerosis is. While my other sources touch on what MS is, this reference completely defines what it is. I would use this information to provide a solid base for the readers understanding of Multiple Sclerosis in my research paper. 5. Mayo Clinic Staff. "Definition." Mayo Clinic. Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, 15 Dec. 2012. Web. 27 Oct. 2013. Like the previous source, this reference provides a definition for Multiple Sclerosis. This source also provides links to more in-depth information on MS, so that would be useful in my paper. I would use this information to explain what the disease is and set a foundation for the effects MS can have on a patient who has been diagnosed. 6. "What Is MS?" This source is a list of facts pertaining to Multiple Sclerosis. Included in the facts are effects, symptoms and treatments for MS, all of which would be useful in my writing. Being able to access such a broad range of information would allow me to provide my readers with more informaiton pertaining to the different aspects of MS. 7. Dayapolu, NurayTan, Mehtap. Alt HealthWatch. Web. 1 Dec. 2013. This article addresses the Progressive Relaxation Exercise treatment method for MS and provides the results it has in fighting fatigue in MS patients. There are also facts from a study done to understand the effects this treatment method has on patients. In being able to understand one treatment, I would be able to use Progressive Relaxation Exercise as an example in my research paper. This source is unlike any other I am using for my research. 8. The information in this source pertains to a study done on patients with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis. It identifies what qualifies a patient as having RMS and also goes into detail on the treatments often used on patients with RMS. I would be able to present the information in this source as an example in my research paper. By identifying a particular form of MS, my work will be more credible than if I were to use generalizations instead of specifics. 9. Nickerson, Molly, and Ruth Ann Marrie. "The Multiple Sclerosis Relapse Experience: Patient-Reported Outcomes From The North American Research Committee On Multiple Sclerosis (NARCOMS) Registry." BMC Neurology 13.(2013): 119. MEDLINE. Web. 1 Dec. 2013. This source is also a study done on Multiple Sclerosis patients, this time with RelapsingRemitting Multiple Sclerosis. It explains the research process and analyzes the results of the study as well. I would be able to present this information as facts in my research paper. This source is similar to a few of the others in that it regards a study done and the results it yielded. 10. Padro, Josie. "LIBERATION THERAPY: Hype Or Hope? New MS Treatment Causes Controversy." Alive: Canada's Natural Health & Wellness Magazine 339 (2011): 57-60. Alt HealthWatch. Web. 1 Dec. 2013. This article focuses on a specific type of treatment that some MS patients are receiving called percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA). It provides the effects of the treatment in addition to the process that patients undergo when receiving the treatment. This source is similar to others I have chosen because it identifies a specific treatment and explains the different aspects of it. I would be able to combine this information with the information I have gathered from other sources to explain different forms of treatment that patients have to choose from after being diagnosed with MS.
