So stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. Hold onto it, and bite onto it with your molar teeth. And beware of newly invented matters, for verily every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance and every misguidance is in the Fire. Manhaj as-Salaf: is based upon that which Allaah the Mighty and Majestic rectified the first generation of this Ummah with. And that is what the Prophet sallal-Laahu alayhi wa sallam and his Companions were upon. Manhaj as-Salaf: is based upon dissociating from al-Bidah (innovation) and al-Ahwaa (desires) and dissociating from its people. Manhaj as-Salaf: is based upon openly aiding the Sunnah of the Messenger sallal-Laahu alayhi wa sallam and striving to refute al-Bidah, expose its people, clarify their conditions and warn the people from everything that comes from them. Manhaj as-Salaf: a Manhaj that is never mixed with other than it. A Manhaj of the Book and the Sunnah. A Manhaj of knowledge and insight. A Manhaj of al-Ittibaa (following) and guidance. Manhaj as-Salaf as-Saalih: a Manhaj that can be seen by everyone whos vision has been enlightened by Allaah. The sects that oppose the Manhaj of as-Salaf as-Saalih: they oppose the Manhaj of as-Salaf asSaalih in everything we mentioned. From the attributes of a Salafee: that he looks at the people from the Shareeah (Islamic Legislation), and he doesnt look at the Shareeah from the people. He gives the Shareeah precedence over the desires of the people, even if many oppose him and even if only a few attend him. He gives the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah sallal-Laahu alayhi wa sallam and the Book of our Lord Glorified and Exalted be He precedence over the multitude (of people). As for the Hizbiyyoon and their (diffirent) categories: they look at the Shareeah from the eyes of the people. So they dont present anything to the people, except that which the people love and that which increases their multitude. If they see the people loving the right side, they go along in the right side and exaggerate. And if they see the people loving the left side, they go along in the left side and exaggerate. And if they see the people loving delay, they delay. And if they see the people loving withdrawal, they withdraw. They dont look in this to the Book or the Sunnah, rather they only look to what the people like and to that which increases their (own) multitude. Anyway, this issue is available and written (about), and it requires a lot of time. And perhaps I will leave it at that which I mentioned, because a lot can be said about this.
