Politics of India: AAP: Should we call it birth of third alternative in Indian Politics?

Abhijit Pande is bang on by saying, "We should call it the propped alternative against Modi" Aam Aadmi Party may well prove to be the biggest prank ever played in the history of politics, on the citizens of India. AAP, it's a trap. Here's why:1. Why did Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi, VK Singh, Baba Ramdev and other significant nationalists distanced themselves from Aam Aadmi Party? << If they did not want to join the politics and remain apolitical, least they could have done is voiced an ideological support for Arvind Kejriwal prior to the elections as they all want the same thing, JLP. Contrary to that Anna Hazare expressed his 'concerns' if AAP was using his image for the posters. Had he(AK) been doing the right thing for the country, publicly appreciating him for his effort, at least once, would not have been a big deal for these people... BUT they didn't... Any wild guesses, why?>>

2. There is absolutely no denying that media in our country is hugely biased. The way media has covered results of these assembly polls itself suggest a lot. Among the four states, the result they covered/debated/highlighted was delhi... The only state where BJP fell short of a simple majority. Why the same media which was very dear to Congress party is projecting Arvind Kejriwal as the ultimate savior and AAP as the 'Real Winner' in the delhi polls in spite of the fact that they are the second no. party. Is keeping away BJP from forming a govt. a 'real win' for the media here? Why don't they discuss these figures for a change BJP in Delhi Won in 32 seats 2nd place in 29 seats lost by <1000 votes - 5 seats lost by <2000 votes - 9 seats Won by <2000 votes - 3 seats AAP in Delhi Won in 29 seats 2nd place in 20 seats lost by <1000 votes - 1 seat lost by <2000 votes - 3 seats Won by <2000 votes - 8 seats

Why is Arvind Kejriwal reluctant to form a govt. in delhi and is 'happy' to sit in the opposition when Mr. Arun Jaitley has clearly mentioned that if AAP forms a govt, BJP will not oppose them anywhere including any bill/legislation. Is he afraid that he'll not be able to fulfill his high decibel promises? Was false Cicero exit poll of winning 49-50 seats by AAP just a marketing strategy to create a pro AAP environment?

3. Most of the AAP supporters say BJP and congress are the same. Can you please explain how? Mr. Kejriwal says, they share the same ideology! (How? Someone please explain.) They both are communal. Are you not communal Mr. Arvind Tauqeer? BJP has never ruled at the center on a complete majority while INC has ruled for 33+ years with complete majority at the centre.

It is a common refrain by the AAP fanatics or politically neutral - fence sitters to equate BJP and Congress under the bracket sab neta chor hain! There is no denying that there are rogue elements in both the parties who indulge in corruption that narrows the apparent credibility differential between the two parties. The difference between BJP and Congress, on the economic policy front has been stark and distinct. Just an example - during 46 years of Congress and it's allies, 263Km. of national highways were added, on the other hand during the 7 years of NDA (COALITION), 4,472 Kms. of national highways were added. World Bank estimates that every Rupee spent to create a highway results in Rs. 7 of economic activity. I can quote many such examples on economic front that clearly differentiate these two. Someone please tell me how these two parties are "the same"?

4. AAP will contest on all seats from Gujarat and some selected seats elsewhere in the country for the coming LS polls. Again there being a clear indication that it can be a massive victory for BJP in the coming LS polls how can you convince me that AAP is not here to cut the votes of BJP explicitly and hence they are not backed by congress party? When it is 100% sure that they cannot form the govt. in the center. What is the point then? How can you say that AAP is not here for stopping BJP from getting a clear mandate? And if it indeed is trying to stop BJP from a clear mandate in LS polls, you tell me is it a good thing to have a coalition government at the centre, which won't accept Modi as it's leader and will be no greater than a crippled structure ready to fall anytime?

5. How can AAP supporters compare a party who ruled only for 8 years at the centre to a party who ruled for 54 years. And on top that label them as "Same" inspite of all the reforms and infrastructure building done under Vajpayee era? How can AAP supporters not see the development in Gujarat, M.P., Chattisgarh, Goa done by a complete BJP govt?

6. On corruption front, why they cannot see that BJP without a second thought fired Mr. Yedurappa which eventually costed them a complete state? Congress would have done that?

7. Most of the people who until yesterday had "not interested" as their political views are today keeping AAP as their DP. Which in a way is good thing for the Indian Politics but the way they are blindly following AAP 'fad' is disappointing.

Now for once, let's assume all this is rubbish and AAP is a genuine party working for a better India, then consider this ---if you somewhat agree to these two points:a. BJP is 'slightly' better than INC. AND b. AAP cannot form govt. at the center. What will your reason be to vote for AAP in 2014, LS?

<The crux of the story being AAP is just a vote dividing party which is misleading people with tall claims but serious about none.!!> Edit -1 : Please do read the comments and sub comments before upvoting/downvoting. Thanks :) Edit-2 : What amuses me even more is instead of having a rational debate AAP supporters choose to downvote the answer straightaway. P.S. Dear supporters, in case if you haven't noticed the last part of my answer, where I'm accepting AAP as a legit party with 'ulterior motives', still I don't get it why someone should vote for them in the LS 2014. See more in comments. Thanks :) Edit - 3 : Omkar Sapre's answer to Politics of India: What will be the reasons, if at all, why Narendra Modi will not become the PM after 2014 elections or BJP will fall short of majority? An Interesting read!
