The Avenger is an invention unique to Minas Tirith, a mechanical masterpiece that reloads itself even as it is fired. This enables the crew of an Avenger to fire many bolts in the same time that another engine could fire a single shot. The Bolt Thrower is a sturdy-loo ing miniature, sculpted as if it is made from both wood and metal. Accurate. These machines are easier to aim than catapults and other heavy Siege Engines. When firing an Avenger at a Battlefield target the shot will only Scatter 3"/ cm rather than !"/"#cm. Piercing Shot. $f shooting at a Battlefield target% the missile can conceiva&ly hit several enemies. The target model is struc' one &low at the Strength of the Siege Engine% is 'noc'ed to the ground% and is flung ()!"/#)!cm directly away from it. E*cept as noted &elow% any other models that lie within the path of the victim suffer a single Strength ! hit and are 'noc'ed to the ground if they have Strength + or less. $f the propelled model hits an o&stacle or Siege target% it immediately stops and inflicts a single Strength ! upon it.
