    LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF FILLED-IN APPLICATIONS IS 31st MAY, 2012 ARCI is looking to engage 6 Scientists on contract basis to work on the time-bound project DEVELOPMENT OF LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE APPLICATIONS sponsored by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The Scientists will be engaged at different levels based on their qualifications & experience and placed either in Hyderabad or Chennai. Scientist (Senior level) Post Code LOO1 Scientist (Middle level) LOO2 Scientist (Junior level) LOO3 Masters degree in Physics/Chemistry or Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical/ Materials/Mechanical /Chemical Engineering from a recognized University.

    Essential Masters degree in Physics/Chemistry or Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical/Materials/ Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from a recognized University.

    Desirable a) Ph.D. in related subject from a Qualifications recognized University. b) Experience in managing and directing R&D projects/programmes. c) Published research work of high standard and/or good record of patents granted/ filed. Experience 8 years R&D 4 years R&D experience in a experience in a relevant area in relevant area in Industrial/Academic Industrial/Academic Institutions and/or Institutions and/or Science and Tech.     Job Requirement

    Scientist Scientist (Senior level) (Middle level) The candidates are expected to design and execute various R&D activities for product/ process development consistent with the theme of the sponsored project. Subsequent scaling up of technologies to pilot plant level and demonstration of their application potential is also anticipated.

    Scientist (Junior level) Active participation in various R&D efforts taken up as part of the sponsored project.

    Other Benefits : In addition to the above Gross Salary, benefits such as Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Medical Insurance for self/nuclear family members, paid leave etc., are available.
