PURPOSE:

Well-developed and relevant environmental policies will influence corporate culture and will help to communicate environmental aims internally as well as to external stakeholders.

SCOPE:

The scope of environmental policies varies among companies. This guideline is applicable to all the employees of Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. only. This policy will guide the way the full group
will practice to go 'green'.

RESPONSIBILITY:

An environmental policy will ideally be authorized and actively promoted by senior management The dissemination of policies is important, both externally and rnternally. lt is also important to
review and update the policies regularly.

DEFINITION:

Envrronmental policy is any action deliberately taken to manage human activities with an aim to prevent, and reduce harmful effects on nature and natural resources, and ensuring that man-made changes to the environment do not have harmful effects on humans. Environmental issues generally addressed by environmental policy include (but are not limited to)

water pollution, waste management, ecosystem management, biodiversity protection, and

the protection of natural resources, wildlife and endangered species. These pollutions also results
from greenhouse gas emissions, which must also be prevented under this policy.

A greenhouse gas (sometimes abbrevjated GHG) is a gas in an atrnosphere that absorbs and emits radiation. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. The primary
greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous
oxide, and ozone.
