GAME SCHEDULE
Play is expected to begin the week of JANUARY 12th (Sunday). There will be no games scheduled on FEBRUARY 2nd (super bowl). We plan to play a total of approximately 17 games per team. Depending upon the number of teams, each team will have two games per week: one game on Sunday night and a second game during the week. Games will consist of three 20-minute periods. Shortly after the teams are picked, the Team Representatives will contact players to provide a game schedule. League Rules (Highlights) 2013-2014

RESPECT AND COOPERATION: The GAMHL expects each player to respect and cooperate with the Referees, Scorekeepers, League Board Members, Team Representatives, Zamboni drivers, and all other Sportsplex employees. ENTERING THE ICE: Skaters are not allowed to enter the ice until the Zamboni has left the ice. SKATER SUBSTITUION POLICY: o A team may sub for any skater that is not able to play in the scheduled game. However, suspended players can not be substituted for. o The substituted player must be an equal or lower rated player than the player he/she is substituting for. o Team Reps need to contact all substitutes from the Sub List before finding a sub currently on an active team roster. o The cost to play as a substitute skater is $15.00. The sub payment shall be dropped off in the GAMHL drop box, located outside the pro-shop, on the same night as the game. Envelopes will be provided. No fee is required when the sub is on an active roster. o There is no cost for substituting goalies. o All substitute players must be declared to the opposing teams Team Rep and the Scorekeeper prior to the start of the game. CHECKING: Checking is not allowed. The referee will determine if the check is intentional or unintentional. o Unintentional checking will result in a penalty being charged. The penalty will consist of a suspension of the remainder of the game in progress and the entire 1st period of the players next game. The player must sit on the bench during the one-period suspension. o Intentional checking is considered reckless. The charged penalty will consist of a suspension of the remainder of the game in progress and the entire game of the players next game. All checking penalties will be reviewed by the GAMHL Board Members and discipline actions can result in expulsion from the league. SLAP SHOTS: No full slap shots are allowed. Winding up of the stick to the height of the players waist is permitted. If a skater takes a full slap shot, play will be stopped and the resulting face off will be located in the defensive zone of the violating team. MAX GOALS PER GAME: There is a maximum of three goals allowed per skater per game. If the skater scores a goal after he/she has reached three goals, it will result as a no goal. EXCESSIVE PENALTIES: Three penalties in one game for any individual will result in a suspension of the remainder of the current game in progress and the entire 1st period of the players next game played. The player must sit on the bench during the one-period suspension. FIGHTING: Fighting is not tolerated in the GAMHL. Dropping of a players gloves with the intent to fight will result in a suspension for the remainder of the current game and the entire 1st period of the players next game played. The player must sit on the bench during the one-period suspension. Fighting will result in a suspension of the current game and the players next scheduled game. All fighting penalties will be reviewed by the GAMHL Board Members and discipline actions can result in expulsion from the league. REGISTRATION FEES: All league registration fees are non-refundable.
