The Conference will be held at RMD Engineering College, Chennai[Madras], India. Established in the year 2001, RMD Engineering college is located in a picturesque environment at Kavaraipettai, Gummidipoondi Taluk on the ChennaiVijayawada Kolkata National Highway(NH5) at a distance of 30KM from Chennai. The college is one KM from the Kavaraipettai Railway station[Next to Ponneri Station] and can be accessed by suburban trains plying between Chennai central and Gummidipoondi. The Chennai International Airport, also known as Anna International Airport is 45 KM from the college.

General Information
Transportation
College buses will ply between the city and the venue of the conference on selected routes covering various boarding points in the city. The timings and routes are available in the official conference website. Participants can board the buses at any of the convenient boarding points. For any clarification, please contact 04427925562, 27925563, 27925564

Internet access
There will be limited internet access available at the conference rooms. This service is supplied free of charge for the conference participants during the time of the conference. Please be considerate of your colleagues and limit your time spent online. There are no guarantees of speed and connectivity. Wi-Fi Zones will be provided to delegates for using internet in the Mini-Hall (Second floor) and the Library (in first floor) both in the main hall. In addition, there will be computers with internet connection for delegates in the computer room in the ground floor of the Academic Hall building. For internet access please contact the information desk.

Registration
The ICGCE 2013 registration area is located at Ground floor of the Main Hall. Pre-registered participants must pick up their badges and conference materials in this area. On-site registration for the conference (subject to availability)/Tutorials is also located here..

Information Desk
Conference information, publications, CDs will be available at the registration desk. The desk is staffed by local arrangement members and student volunteers who can attend to your queries and assist with special needs.

First Aid/Emergency
Your safety is our primary concern. In case of an emergency, please contact the conference registration desk immediately for assistance. There is also a first aid office located in the ground floor of the main building.

Cell phones are not allowed inside the campus. However, landline numbers will be provided for urgent calls and public phones are available for contacting outside numbers.

Name badges
Your ICGCE 2013 name badges serves as your admission pass to conference sessions and events. Please wear your name badge at all times while inside the conference venue. Conference organizers reserve the right to deny admission to any persons not wearing an ICGCE2013 name badge.

Attire
Attire for ICGCE 2013 is formal. T-Shirts, jeans, shorts and miniskirts are not allowed in the College Campus

Smoking and Alcohol Policy

ICGCE 2013 is smoke-free and the meeting center is non-smoking facility. Consumption and/or possession of alcohol is not permitted under any circumstances.

Electrical Power
Electricity in India is 240 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. If you are travelling from outside India, you will require a voltage converter if you are carrying a device that does not accept 240 volts at 50 Hertz. ICGCE 2013 does not provide power converters, extension cords, power strips or other electric accessories. However, the staff at the registration Desk may be able to assist with some needs.

Weather in Chennai
The month of December in Chennai is the rainy season and there is typically a cool sea breeze during late afternoon. The conference venue is properly air-conditioned. ICGCE advices you to carry an umbrella to protect yourself from rain.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Most presentations are scheduled for a maximum time of 8-10minutes, including Q&A. Presentations can only be in electronic power point formats. Files should be Microsoft Power Point 2003 Compatible. There will be a laptop and an LCD available for all presenters in the conference rooms. Upload all presentations one hour prior to their presentations at the laptop provided in the conference hall where your session is scheduled. Please have your presentation file named using track-id and Paper id (XX_ICGCE_XXX) You may bring your file on a CD or a USB flash stick.
