Questionnaire for building of a new cement plant

1. How many tonnage of clinker per day shall be produced? 2. Is raw material of sufficient quantity and quality available?

-> Please note that you need about 1.6 times more raw material than you finally would like to produce clinker. 1.000 tons of clinker need 1.600 tons of kiln feed .For a proper cement plant you should have about 15-20 years storage capacity in the mine.

3. What is the current timeframe for the purchase of the new plant?

4. What is the required engineering service? For this purpose please check the attached list of key words for a complete engineering service. Please tick these key words where we shall execute the respective service. See ANNEX 1

Usually we supplies as basic engineering the work shop drawings for the preheater tower technology as well as a General Arrangement plan and Master layout plan. 5. Please provide us with the raw material properties.

6. Which and how many components will be used? Is a chemical and mineralogical analysis available? See ANNEX 2

7. Please inform us about the future fuel for the plant: Oil, coal or natural gas? See ANNEX 3 Page 2/13

8. We does not offer cement plants on a turn- key basis. Concerning our possible supply and service- What is required? - Quarry equipment: - Mechanical engineering: - Electrical engineering: - Field Instrumentation: - Automation: - Engineering & Project Management: - Engineering electrical: - Supervision of erection: - Supervision of commissioning: Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes No No No No No No No No No

9. Are there qualified companies for local manufacturing in your country? Yes No

Concerning the local conditions of the cement plant:

10. - Altitude above sea- level: - Climate (temperate, subtropical, tropical) - Minimum and maximum outdoor temperatures (measured in the shadow): - Air humidity min./ max: - Max wind velocities: - Minimum and maximum Rainfalls: - Ground water Level and its fluctuations: - Distance of the raw material deposits from the works site: 11. Are there particular environmental conditions like e.g. dessert? _____ m _________ _____ C _____ % /_____% _____ km/h _____ mm/year _____ m _____km

12. Is sufficient water available for cooling the machines? 12.1 Distance of the water source from the envisaged works site: 12.2 Pressure in the main water, if available:

Yes

No

_____m _____kg/cm

Page 3/13

13. State the public regulations regarding pollution (dust, water, noise), if any:

13.1 For what residual dust content of the clean gas are the dust collection plants to be laid out [g/m eff.]?

14. Are there any special regulations regarding the design of the structures? (e.g. earthquake additions etc.)

Concerning the raw mill: 15. Is there a specific requirement for the grinding system (Ball-Mill, VRM)?

16. Is it necessary to the dry the material inside of the mill? Or can external dryers like drum-dryers be used?

17. What is your idea about the clinker storage area? Can the clinker be stored on open stock pile or must it be roofed?

Concerning the cement mills: 18. How many tons per day have to be ground? Note that due to the addition of cement additives like limestone, blast furnace slag and Gypsum the final Cement quantity will exceed the produced clinker amount.

Page 4/13

19. Shall the production be done in one, two or three shifts?

20. With how many mills shall the capacity be ground?

22. How many cement types and which finesses for such cement types shall be produced?

23. Does a layout plan of the future plant already exist? If yes, can we have a copy?

24. What about the electrical installation? Shall we supply the complete electrics incl. control and automation? Or shall this be done locally?

Concerning the transport: 25. On what basis is our offer to be made up: EXW? FOB port of shipment? CIF port of destination? (State the desired port in the country of destination) DDU plant side?

Page 5/13

Finely: 26. Have you any special wishes (e.g. regarding automation and automatic measuring and control equipment beyond the normal scope?)

27. Other data and particulars:

You are requested to attach site plans und cross-sections from quarry and site. These plans should also show any existing roads, railway-lines, rivers und other water-curses, long distance lines, preliminary layout, topographical map of the plant site etc.
