Chapter 1 Instruction for Use


1.1 Recommended peration Steps

Step 1. 2nstall the attendance machine and po)er it on. Step 2. 2nsert a .S= dis, or an SD card into the attendance machine. Displa* the main interface and choose Report to do)nload a settin! report to the .S= dis, or SD card. 2nsert the .S= dis, or SD card into *our PC. 0pen the shift arran!ement ta&le to set desired shifts+ time for automated status s)itches+ and alarms. 0pen the schedule settin! report to enter emplo*ee information #2D+ name+ and department$ and shifts. !ote" #in$erprints% pass&ords% and pri'ile$es must be enrolled on the attendance machine. Step 3. 2nsert a .S= dis, or an SD card into the attendance machine. Displa* the main interface and choose Report to upload the settin! report. Step 4. Displa* the main interface and choose Usr M$t. to enroll emplo*ee fin!erprints and pass)ords #for proper re!istration$. Step 5. Verif* that the fin!erprints and pass)ords enrolled are availa&le. Step 6. /a,e sure the time on the attendance machine is

accurate &efore *ou start attendance recordin!. Step 7. %t the end of each month+ choose Report to do)nload a standard report usin! a .S= dis, or an SD card. Save the report and collect relevant statistical information on *our PC.

Recommended fin$ers: The inde> fin!er+ middle fin!er or the rin! fin!er@ the thum& and little fin!er are not recommended #&ecause the* are usuall* clums* on the fin!erprint collection screen$.

1.. Attendance /erification Mode


0n the initial interface+ emplo*ees can record their attendance throu!h fin!erprint and pass)ord verification. %ttendance records )ill &e stored on the attendance machine upon successful verification. in!erprint verification #1$ 1: N fin!erprint matchin! 2n the 1:N fin!erprint matchin! mode+ the device compares the current fin!erprint collected throu!h the fin!erprint collector )ith all the fin!erprints stored in the device. Step 1: Press *our fin!er on the fin!erprint collector in a proper )a*. Step 2: (hen the s*stem !enerates a voice announcement CThan, *ouDE the verification is complete.

2n the 1:1 fin!erprint matchin! mode+ the terminal compares current fin!erprint collected throu!h the fin!erprint collector )ith that in relation to the user 2D entered throu!h ,e*&oard. %dopt this mode onl* )hen it is difficult to reco!niGe the fin!erprint. Step 1: 1nter a user 2D throu!h ,e*&oard on the initial interface.

Chapter ( Add a User


1nroll the fin!erprints and pass)ords of the emplo*ees to the popular color-screen "T.

Press M- 0 or 1 to displa* the Add user interface as sho)n &elo):

indicates the attendance 2D of an emplo*ee. indicates the enrolled fin!erprint of an emplo*ee. 1ach emplo*ee is allo)ed to enroll 10 fin!erprints at most. 1mplo*ees )ith fin!erprints enrolled can use their

P(D: indicates the enrolled pass)ord of an emplo*ee. % pass)ord ma* consist of one to ei!ht characters. 1mplo*ees )ith pass)ords enrolled can use their pass)ords for attendance recordin!. Purvie): indicates the ri!hts assi!ned for users to e>ecute menu items. 0rdinar* users are onl* allo)ed to mar, their attendance &* usin! their enrolled fin!erprints or pass)ords. %dministrators are allo)ed to e>ecute all menu items in addition to mar,in! their attendance li,e ordinar* users.

Tip: The menu items are accessi&le to all users in the a&sence of an administrator. %fter an administrator is set+ to access menu items+ a user needs to verif* hisHher identit* as an administrator.

Chapter ) User Mana$ement


The &asic information stored on the popular color-screen "T includes the user 2D+ name+ fin!erprint+ pass)ord and mana!ement privile!es. Nenerall* the user information stored on the popular color-screen "T needs to &e modified in the )a,e of the personnel chan!es in a compan*. To facilitate modification of user information+ our popular color-screen "T allo)s users to add+ delete+ -uer* and modif* user information convenientl*. Press M- 0 on the initial interface to access the main menu as sho)n &elo):

To facilitate administrators to locate a user -uic,l* from a lar!e num&er of enrolled users+ the popular color-screen "T ena&les administrators to search a user &* hisHher C.ser 2DE. 0n the .ser /!t. interface+ press 1 to displa* the Search User interface as sho)n &elo):

%part from -uer*in! the emplo*ee enrollment information #includin! fin!erprints and pass)ords$+ an administrator can also -uer* the attendance records of all emplo*ees in current month. 0n the User M$t.interface+ press 2 to displa* the Record interface as sho)n &elo). 0n the Record interface+ *ou can vie) the attendance records of the tar!et emplo*ee in current month.

To modif* the e>istin! user information stored on the popular color-screen "T+ for e>ample+ enrollin! a ne) fin!erprint or pass)ord to replace the previous fin!erprint or pass)ord+ *ou can use the Add user function. Press KHL on the User M$t. interface or use the search function to locate the emplo*ee to &e edited+ and press M- 0 to displa* the Add user interface )here the enrolled information is displa*ed.

The option CDelete userE is in either of the follo)in! cases to delete all information of an emplo*ee from the popular colorscreen "T:

Press KHL on the User M$t. interface or use the search function to locate the emplo*ee to &e edited+ and press ;. The s*stem )ill displa* the follo)in! prompt:

The Add user option is used to facilitate administrators to add users. or details+ see 2 %dd a .ser.

SMS: %dd+ edit+ vie)+ and delete S/S messa!es. ,<ST: Set the start and end time of the da*li!ht savin! time #D<ST$. Auto S&itch: %utomaticall* chan!e the attendance status at a specified time. Current attendance status is displa*ed on the initial interface. =ell: Set a scheduled rin! time and duration.
