Rediscover light.
The days in which your only choice was limited to classic but short-lived incandescent lamps or economical but much too bulky fluorescent lamps or brilliant but much too expensive halogen lamps are long since gone.
Light interchangeable and functional. Today it is possible to save enormous amounts of electricity with energysaving lamps that look like ordinary light bulbs and at the same time are compatible with classic fittings. Modern fluorescent lamps have become more compact but they are now even brighter, kinder to the environment and also offer better colour rendering. Additionally the new mains voltage halogen lamps can be operated on normal power supplies without the need for transformers. Many feature screw bases will fit in normal luminaires designed for ordinary light bulbs. Light modern and innovative. And then we have innovative lighting solutions. LEDs tiny but extremely bright and durable light sources. Ceramic lamps with round arc tubes, setting new standards in colour rendering and constant light. Halogen lamps that are so small that they offer luminaire designers immense freedom. Light dynamic and colourful. Modern electronic control gear and controllers enable lighting to be adjusted with enormous flexibility to individual and changing requirements. Different lighting scenarios can be set up by combining specific groups of lamps. White and coloured, warm and cool light can be combined to achieve lighting moods suitable for specific tasks or times of day. Light can be controlled statically or dynamically.
INTRODUCTION
Light for every sector. Different sectors need different lighting. The lighting in a delicatessen, for example, has to meet different requirements, for example, than lighting in a clothes shop. Mobile phones, cameras and computers need to be presented in a different light from jewellery, watches or spectacles. Cosmetics departments and chemists need a different lighting setup than furniture and home furnishing stores. Light for every demand. It is also important to define which areas of the shop need lighting, and how: the faade, the entrance, the shop windows and the interior of the shop. Inside the shop it is important to know where light is to be used and what it is to be used for: at the point of sale, over counters, at cash tills, in changing rooms, around mirrors, for refrigerated displays, for fruit and vegetables, for bread and cakes, etc. Light for every mood. The right lighting attracts customers and puts them in the right mood to buy. Numerous studies have shown that more people will stop and look at well lit shop windows and displays than poorly lit ones. Light emphasises, makes colours stand out, presents and represents, creates a feel-good atmosphere and stimulates demand. The wrong lighting or conventional lighting makes shops and their merchandise look sad and pale. In contrast, modern lighting that promotes sales turns shop interiors into stage sets and products into objects of desire.

Perfect technology, perfectly executed. Large fittings are suspended from the ceiling, combining various lighting technologies in a unit measuring around 2 x 3 m and with a depth of 0.3 m. Diffusing translucent foil is installed at the bottom of this box. Inside the box are T5 HO or HE lamps in red, green, blue and white, operated by intelligent QTi DALI DIM control gear. A DALI lighting controller can mix the light from these four lamps to produce almost any colour.
A channel is mounted around the box in which tilt-and-swivel spotlights fitted with 20, 35, 70 or 150 W POWERBALL HCI Shoplight lamps can be used. The spotlights can be equipped with spot or flood reflectors to either highlight or floodlight the furniture displays. The POWERBALL HCIR111 lamp does not need a separate reflector. This elegant reflector lamp with its innovative ceramic arc tube and faceted reflector combines energy-saving technology with glare-free light.

Cost-effective lighting because only the light source with its integrated reflector is needed, no soiling of reflectors.
MINISTAR Axial-Reflector MINISTAR Side-Reflector HTi DALI HALOTRONIC NANO
Design-oriented planning with minimal space requirements for the lighting systems.
OSRAM MINISTAR Increased competitiveness thanks to special system. Now you see it, now you dont. The MINISTAR combines a lamp and reflector in a very small package. The smallest halogen reflector lamp in the world is smaller than a thimble. Inside its quartz bulb its has a mushroom-shaped cap similar to a small reflector which directs the light emitted by the filament precisely where it is needed. The MINISTAR can be installed in display cabinets either on the frame or on the base. Since this is a 12 V low-voltage lamp it needs a transformer to convert from 230 V to 12 V.
OSRAM HTi DALI und HT NANO Unconventional solution. HTi DALI power supply units have a major advantage over conventional electronic transformers. They can be connected to a higher-ranking DALI lighting control system so the MINISTAR can be given dynamic commands for bright or dimmed light. Three-core electrical cable rated for 230 V and a 2-core control cable for transmitting the lighting commands from the DALI lighting control system to the HTi DALI are needed. The HTi DALI transformer can be positioned in the base of the cabinet or in the cover without any problem. If space is particularly tight the miniaturised HALOTRONIC NANO transformer is ideal.

Light is appealing.
Presenting high-tech products from the communication and entertainment electronics sector represents a real challenge for lighting. For the immense range of digital cameras, mobile phones, PC, notebooks, hi-fi equipment and TVs the important thing is to highlight details and emphasise aesthetic design. The products often have silver or aluminium coloured surfaces and the target group is generally young and technically minded. The lighting system therefore has to be configured so that the retail zone combines a pleasant background atmosphere based on soft lighting (with OSRAM T5 HO/HE fluorescent lamps for example) with appropriate accent lighting. Ideal lamps for designer rooms and high-tech displays are DECOSTAR COOL BLUE, DECOSTAR IRC, HALOSTAR IRC and HALOSPOT AR 111 IRC from OSRAM. The innovative dichroic reflector lamps offer brilliant light and an extremely long life of up to 5000 hours. They are also equipped with UV filters and can be used in open luminaires. www.osram.com/application

OSRAM DECOSTAR COOL BLUE Lamps can also be operated with HTi transformer with its DALI interface. So cool. The cool active halogen light from the DECOSTAR COOL BLUE has a colour temperature of 4500 K, far above the warm colour temperature of 3000 K produced by normal halogen lamps. Its daylight spectrum makes everything appear even more brilliant. The cool light colour is also ideal for combining with the cool light colours of fluorescent lamps and metal halide lamps. OSRAM IRC family Long-distance runners. The life of DECOSTAR IRC lamps has been increased from 4000 hours to 5000 hours. With the electronic HTi DALI transformer it is deal for dynamic lighting sequences with DALI EASY as are HALOSTAR IRC and HALOSPOT 111 IRC.
HALOTRONIC NANO HTi DALI
HT and HTM transformers from OSRAM Tried and trusted. DECOSTAR COOL BLUE, DECOSTAR IRC, HALOSTAR IRC and HALOSPOT 111 IRC lamps can also be operated with the tried and trusted HALOTRONIC and HALOTRONIC MOUSE electronic transformers. HALOTRONIC NANO is particularly suitable for very tight spaces. HTi DALI transformers from OSRAM New intelligence. The new intelligent HTi DALI transformer is a 12 V power supply unit for the lamp and can be switched and dimmed via its DALI interface. The Touch-DIM function enables the light to be switched and dimmed using just a conventional switch, no additional controllers are required.
The same holders can be used for upgrading existing luminaire systems with the entire DECOSTAR family.

Cosmetics are not spoilt by excessive heat, therefore no complaints from customers. LINEARlight Colormix Flex LED modules from OSRAM Setting the tone. Tiny semiconductors in a tiny chip, measuring just 3 x 3 x 2 mm in the case of the LINEARlight Colormix Flex, produce light in red, green and blue. OSRAM has positioned these chips in rows on flexible boards with a width of only 11.5 mm. By controlling the individual red, green and blue LEDs within the chip it is possible to produce light of almost any colour. This light can then be easily dimmed to match the cosmetics. The LED adhesive tape has a standard length of 4 m and can be cut with scissors into pieces at least 20 cm in length. One metre of light from LINEARlight Colormix Flex consumes no more than 13.8 W of power.
OPTOTRONIC Innovative power supply. The LINEARlight Colormix Flex LED module is supplied by a 230/24V OPTOTRONIC power supply unit of appropriate output. OSRAM offers 10 and 24 V power supply units with outputs from 6 to 200 W.
