CHARACTERISTICS MD 555 cleaner from Drr System-Hygiene is a non-foaming acid special cleaner for dental suction systems including drainage lines. Use of MD 555 cleaner is recommended for regions with problematic tap water (e.g. high water hardness, antisoluble salts, etc.) and for drainage lines with insufficient gradient. Moreover, it is recommended if special tooth cleaning devices, e.g. air polishing units, and the corresponding prophylaxis powders are used. Regular use of MD 555 cleaner prevents formation of deposits and blockages, and dissolves existing deposits. With its special active and auxiliary ingredients, MD 555 cleaner is particularly suitable for systems with amalgam separators. Furthermore, MD 555 cleaner can be used universally wherever deposits from hard water must be removed from surfaces (e.g. floor and wall tiles, basins). Composition MD 555 cleaner contains organic acids (40 - 50%), non-foaming surfactants (< 5%), corrosion inhibitors, a color indicator and auxiliary substances in aqueous solution. Application In case of hard water or contamination with prophylaxis powders, use a 5% MD 555 cleaner solution regularly once or twice a week, e.g. during the lunch break. In case of extreme contamination, use a 5% MD 555 cleaner solution daily. The shortest exposure time is 30 minutes. It is possible to prolong the action period, if required. Fill 50 ml MD 555 cleaner up to 1 litre with water and flush through by means of the OroCup. Pour 250 ml solution into the spittoon bowl. Rinse cleaned system with water after the action time has elapsed. In problematic cases or to sanitize suction systems which have been strongly contaminated with biofilms, use a 10% concentration (fill 100 ml MD 555 cleaner up to 1 litre with water) one to five times a week (in turn with effective disinfectants, e.g. Orotol plus or Orotol ultra). Optimum effectiveness is achieved with an exposure time of 1 - 2 hours. Pour 250 ml of the solution into the spittoon bowl. ENVIRONMENTAL BEHAVIOUR MD 555 cleaner is ecologically safe as all ingredients are quickly and completely biodegradable . The packing is made of polyethylene and can therefore be exploited materially and thermally. For recycling, rinse bottle with water. CAUTION MD 555 cleaner has been comprehensively tested with excellent results for compatibility with the materials used in commonly available suction systems. MD 555 cleaner is not suitable for use on aluminium and other acid-sensitive surfaces. Do not allow the MD 555 cleaner solution to take effect overnight. WARNING MD 555 cleaner is classified as irritant according to the Directives relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances and preparations. Irritating to eyes. In case of contact with the eye, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. We recommend wearing protective gloves.
