2. Removing

CAUTION CAUTION
Remove :

: Put the wheels in the straight ahead position.

: Before disconnecting the battery, partially open the door windows.

Disconnect the battery.

The steering wheel (see the relevant operation) The steering column lower cowling

CAUTION

: When passing the connectors for the driver's airbag and horn through the steering wheel port,

do not exert any force on the connectors.

Unclip the switches of the switch module under the steering wheel at "a".

Unclip the steering column upper cowling at "b".

Release the harnesses relating to the switch module under the steering wheel (1). Unscrew the screw (2) several turns. Unclip the switching module under the steering wheel from the steering column at "d" on each side By means of a screwdriver. Disengage the switching module under the steering wheel (1) from the steering column.

CAUTION

: Do not exert any pulling force on the harnesses relating to the switching module under the

steering wheel.

Disconnect the connectors at "c".

N.B.

: Each connector is marked with a colour.

3. Adjustment

: In this position, the rotary connector is locked as regards rotation.

4. Refitting

URGENT

: Replace any faulty parts.

Check that the road wheels are aligned straight ahead. Check the condition of the 2 clips for locking the switching module under the steering wheel. Connect the connectors at " c " on the switching module under the steering wheel. Check the securing of the connectors . Engage the switching module under the steering wheel (1) on to the steering column.

Offset by two turns to the right

Offset one turn to the left

The aperture "e" of the rotary switch should be opposite the index "f".

URGENT

: Without forcing, turn the rotary switch until you can read the figure " 0" through the aperture "e".

Check the locking of the switch module under the steering wheel at "d". Tighten the bolt (2) to 0,3 0,08 daN.m. Clip : The upper part of the steering column cowling at "b" The switches of the switch module under the steering wheel at "a"

Fit : The steering column lower cowling The steering wheel (see the relevant operation)

Connect the battery. Check the operation of the electrical controls.

Select in succession the following menus : Suspension Configuration

Initialising a sensor of the type: steering wheel angle sensor
