All of these elements should be pulled out of the movie. Your presentation should include quotes, explanations (not definitions), and pictures for EACH category/element. All explanations should be detailed because you do not know if everyone has seen the movie you are analyzing. Your analysis will include these elements on Power Point, Prezi or a 3-sided poster board. As you (or you two) include all of the information listed within the chart on the first page. When completing the elements of plot please be sure to include a visual plot diagram (meaning use the mountain shape we used in class). The last item you will be considering during this assignment is how you could improve the film. Decide on THREE literary changes that would have enhanced the film. Describe in detail how this would have added to the movie. You can decide to delete of add to the movie. Example Movie: Forrest Gump Acceptable Answers: Title of slide: Point of View The story of Forrest Gump is told in first person point of view. The narrator is also the protagonist, Forrest Gump, who takes us through the story of his life. I know this is first person because the narrator only speaks about the feelings and thoughts of himself. Forrest did not express the feelings of the other characters within the story. <include picture> Title of slide: Figurative Language Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you are going to get. This is a simile Forrest used to describe the various events from his life. He had many trying times in his life. As a child he had polio and was told he could not walk, but later he ran various marathons, fought in wars, and even started a business. <include picture> Unacceptable Answers: Title of slide: Point of View First person point of view because the narrator was talking the whole time. <picture> Title of slide: Figurative Language Life is like a box of chocolates. He was comparing a box of chocolates to his life. <picture>
