The mission of the short (new) version which is, to promote quality education to all especially the less

fortunate and to create through a dialogue a Christian environment for the integral formation of persons who will be effective agents of social transformation is stated in an infinite phrase because of the word to followed by a verb. The mission of the long (old) version relate with its vision. The schools means in attaining its vision, which is to form a community of totally liberated persons, is to form wellintegrated persons by providing Catholic education to all especially the less fortunate. Through Catholic education, the school community is taught the important values and ideals that one should possess to be able to become Christ-like, do service to those in need and to awaken in us our innate ability to stand for what is right and to lead others by serving them. This is why the mission of the long (old) version relate with its vision. On the other hand, the mission of the short (new) version also relates with its vision. To achieve its vision of a community of Christ-centered evangelizers, the school promotes quality Catholic education to all and creates a Christian environment for the integral formation of persons who will be effective agents of social transformation. Through these missions, the school community is trained to become Christ-centered evangelizers educated in faith and animated by the passion for truth, justice, peace and service. This is why the mission of the short (new) version relates with its vision.

IV. Of the two versions of the HCDC mission statement, I like the long (old) version the best because even though it is long and would take time to memorize, it can easily be understood. Its composition of four paragraphs carefully and briefly explains the vision, mission and goals of HCDC in teaching students. It clearly states the ideal characteristics and abilities a person would have after studying in HCDC. These are the reasons why I like the long (old) version the best.

Based on these comparisons and the analysis we have made regarding the two versions of HCDCs Mission Statement, we prefer the old (long) version than the new (short) one. It states the vision, mission, and goals of the institution more comprehensively. It explains well in detail every part of the Mission Statement. In our opinion, it influences more the members of the institution to participate in its aspirations and commitment to the community.
