The remaining balance of that loan is $38,761. We will be at Gehman Mennonite School from 7-10:30 p.m. and then head back to the church from 10:30 p.m. to 10 a.m. Jan. 3, Fri.-Bible Quiz team practice at church, 7 p.m. Jan 5, Sun.- We will have our regular, first-Sunday of the month fellowship meal.

Jan. 8, Wed.-JGA will be having a movie night, 7 p.m. at Bowmansville. (Come in your pjs if you want!) Jan. 15, Wed.-Sewing Circle meets in the morning and afternoon on the third Wednesday of each month, in the basement of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. Work includes quilting, knotting comforters and sewing on a sewing machine. Most items completed by the Sewing Circle are sent to Mennonite Central Committee for distribution around the world. We would welcome new persons, of any age, to join our group!. You man not be able to quilt, but knotting comforters is something that most anyone can do, and we will gladly teach you, if you do not know how. Fifteen - eighteen ladies usually attend. While the purpose of the meeting is to complete bedding and other items for those in need, those attending find the fellowship to be a blessing and encouragement! Also, Bowmansville District Sewing Circle held their election of officers at the December meeting. The results are as follows: President-Janice Horning; Vice President-Ruth Ann Eberly; Secretary-Mim Reiff; Asst. Secretary-Helen Becker; Treasurer-Grace Musser Sensenig; Song Leader-Glenda Martin Jan. 19, Sun.-The ladies tea is set for 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall, all ladies are welcome. Lei Williams will be sharing her life story with us how at the age of 3 she had to leave her home in Vietnam. We will also be revealing our secret sisters from this past year and pulling names for the upcoming year. If you are unable to come and want your name in please see me for a form. Also if you are willing to bring food for the tea let me know. Thanks! -Cindy -The men's retreat is scheduled for Feb. 7-9, 2014. Bob Musser will be the speaker. Sign-up sheets coming in January. Please contact Phil Horning or Bethany Horning to arrange a time for a photo to be taken(Sun. after church might be good), or if you have a recent individual or family photo you would like to use, let us know that as well. -The 2014 Bible Quiz season is around the corner and many of the young people in our church plan to participate. Please pray for them as the teams are formed and practice/competition officially begins in January. The quizzing material this year is from the book of Exodus. -As 2013 comes to an end, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Gehman Mennonite church family for your support and encouragement during the past year. Thank you for your prayers, words of affirmation, cards, gifts and acts of service.
