Teacher explains and demonstrates how to create a resist using the slideshow. - Teachers asked pupils to do activities to make themed activities resis method of natural beauty. - Pupils are asked to help a classmate who still can not sketch. - Teachers guide the pupils to sketch and color the picture through resis method. General Descriptions The lesson of arts that I chose is a draw while the title is the Beauty of Nature. Drawing activities using the resist method. The objective of this subject is to produce images by using a variety of tools, materials and techniques creatively through exploration. Suggestions for Implementation Teaching Visual Arts involving aspects of art criticism, I will perform it on 24 April 2013. Teaching is carried out for one hour and will starting at 10.15 am to 11.15 am. The class I teach is 5 Crystal containing a total of 26 students. Directions for Students First step in set induction ( 5 minutes ), pupils are asked to observe a flowers that available in the school garden. Teacher asks pupils to make a brief sketch of flower photos that have been selected. Pupils are asked to come back into the classroom. After that , for second step, teachers display a wide variety of flowers through the slides. Pupils are asked to observe the slides shown on LCD transmitter. Lesson continues by teachers show video titled "History of Malaysian Batik". Pupils are asked to watch a video. Teachers carry out a question and answer session with the pupils. 1. What activities are available in the video? 2. What is the motive or pattern used to produce batik? 3. Where is producing batik center in Terengganu / Malaysia? 4. Next, on third step, teacher displays through video clips how to produced resist paintings. Pupils are asked to make a small group of five people in each group. Teachers asked pupils to do activities to make themed activities resist method of natural beauty. Pupils are asked to help a classmate who still cannot sketch. Teachers guide the pupils to sketch and color the picture through resist method (shaping the motive, mapping out the candles, and coloring). Teacher explains and demonstrates how to create a resist using the slideshow. On Appreciation and reflection session, pupils give their comment on other pupils artwork. At the closure, teacher playback video clips of "History of Malaysian Batik" Learning Outcomes At the end of the lesson, teacher can train students to work more diligently, and carefully organized, produce a pattern of lines drawn, and give criticism of art on the work of other students. Other Information At the end of the lesson, pupils can understanding the concept of resist, enhance color process skills, instill love the environment, and self- expression to activities carried out. Pupils' prior knowledge is they are always observing the beauty of nature around them. Values that van be built are hygiene, and appreciate the beauty. Thinking skills are make sequence, organize and generate ideas. Meanwhile the tools and materials are drawing paper, pencil, candle and water color.
