I think when I read that sweet story of old,
As I have loved you, love one another When Jesus was here among men, This new commandment, love one another, How he called little children like lambs to his fold; By this shall men know ye are my disciples I should like to have been with him then. If ye have love one to another. I wish that his hands had been placed on my head, That his arms had been thrown around me, What ways did Jesus show his love for others? That I might have seen his kind look when he said, “Let the little ones come unto me.”
