You should have downloaded and installed the mseide+msegui program.

The first step is to configure the MSEide environment. If you are running on a linux system and installing version 2. .! or later downloaded from www.msegui.org then the ide is already configured. You can s"ip this step and go to #Start a $ew %ro&ect' on page !. Start the MSEide program (clic" on Start ) *ll %rograms ) MSE ) mseide+. You should see the following,

-lic" on the Settings menu item and then -onfigure MSEide,

You shoulld now see the -onfigure MSEide options. -lic" on the . dots (/rowse /utton+ to set the 01MSE2I34 option.

*s this is the first time running the MSEide program you should /e in the startup directory. This screenshot was ta"en on a windows computer so you are in the insatlled to folder5 #-,6%rogram 7iles6msegui.org6mseide+msegui'. If you are doing this on a linux computer then you will see your linux path displayed. Select it and clic" the 89 /utton.

The 01MSE2I34 option should now /e set. -lic" the 89 /utton.

To start a new pro&ect clic" on %ro&ect ) $ew ) 7rom Template.

-lic" on the default.pr& pro&ect type. -lic" the 89 /utton.

$ow you will set where you pro&ects source files will /e saved. $avigate to your desired location (home folder5 my documents5 etc+. Enter a name for your pro&ect and clic" the 89 /utton.

You should now have a default pro&ect with a /lan" form to wor" with. It should loo" li"e the following.

8n the component palette clic" the :idget ta/ and then clic" the #/utton' component. $ow move the cursor onto the pro&ect;s /lan" form and clic" once. This will place a /utton component onto the form.

You will now see the /utton on your form. It should loo" li"e the following.

Now click on the Caption text area of the object inspector and enter a caption of Exit. Press the enter key once.

The /utton should now show a caption of #Exit'. $ow scroll down and clic" into the #onexecute' text area and enter #/tn8nExecute'. %ress the enter "ey twice.

In the procedure.tmainfo./tn8nExecute enter the pascal command #close<'.

The pro&ect is now ready for its first test. -lic" on Target ) -ontinue or press f=. The program will compile and run.

You should now see the form with the exit /utton. -lic" on the /utton. The program will close and you are /ac" in the ide.

To exit the ide5 clic" on 7ile ) Exit.

You will /e as"ed if you want to save your pro&ect changes. -lic" Yes5 $o5 or -ancel as you desire. The ide will close and exit.
