Guest Speakers:

MR. RENATO A. VERGEL DE DIOS

“Enter the Global Financial Crisis … What Now?”
The start of this decade has witnessed the industry’s steady transformation
from one traditionally grounded on preserving family unity and well-being,
to one focused on asset-building, wealth management, and wealth
preservation. Following the fateful crash of 2008, however, the demand for
investment products has dipped to precarious levels, leaving in its wake
hordes of disgruntled investors and strained client relationships. How do
those agents who shifted to ROI-selling begin to stage a comeback in the
new, upside-down world of dismayed customers and jittery prospects? We
are privileged to have the former President and CEO of Manulife Philippines
share his thoughts with us on this challenging issue.

MR. REYNALDO A. DE DIOS

“Personal Risk Management 101”
“Ronnie” de Dios, as he is fondly known in Asian insurance circles, is the
publisher of the industry trade magazine “Insurance Philippines”, and has
been in the insurance business for 61 years. One of the country’s foremost
risk management consultants, he says that the concept of Risk
Management, which evolved from the U.S. insurance industry some 50
years ago, is comprised of the four basic steps of Risk Identification, Risk
Measurement, Risk Control and Risk Transfer. These steps focused
primarily on the protection and risk mitigation of the assets and potential
liabilities of corporations. However, the principles of Risk Management are fully applicable as
well to individuals and their different lifestyles, as our speaker will illustrate in this engrossing
workshop-presentation.
