Job Description

Position Title: Reports to: Department: Date Revised: FLSA Status: Summary: The Shipper position is responsible for ensuring that all domestic and international shipments go out on time and accurately following established procedures and government regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the accurate and timely packing of product for final shipment to customers. Includes documenting Bill of Lading information from Customer Service, final shipment inspection and sending confirmed packing list to Customer Service for invoicing. Create Detailed Packing Lists for international shipments. Process FedEx/UPS shipments and re-order shipping supplies as needed. Responsible for ensuring adequate supply stock of all shipping materials. Cooler management, including checking cooler charts daily (initial and comment), cooler organizing, pulling and replacing vaccine inventory, cleaning. Assist with shipping area maintenance: including but not limited to cleaning tote area, cleaning out trash. Maintain packaging supplies inventory through cycle counts and other established processes. Maintain forklift. Schedule maintenance and sign-off on forklift checklist to verify inspections. Assist in Inventory Management (unreleased and releases finished goods) Assist in other areas or activities such as packing, labeling, year-end inventory. Qualifications: Candidate must have a minimum of a High School diploma, and 1-2 years of experience in a shipping environment. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and possess excellent organizational skills. Must be dependable, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred. Must have or be willing to obtain Forklift certification and HazMat certification. Being a team player and adaptable to changing schedules and activities is required.
