[ Council of Sci enti fi c & Industrial Research] HYDERABAD 500 007 REF:CCMBIWKS-18/13 NAME OF WORK: REPLACEMENT OF CT & PROTECTIVE RELAYS AT 33Kv SUB-STATION & A.C.PLANT AT CSIR-CCMB CAMPUS. CAMPUS. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR MICRO-PROCESSOR BASED NUMERICAL PROTECTION RELAY Protection, Control , monitoring and metering relay shall be provided in one integrated digital package for application on 33kV substation incomer feeder (1 No) and transforme r outgoing feeders ( 2Nos) and incorporation on an integrated sub station control system. The relay manufacturer/supplier should make sure that all the following requirements are sat isfied by the relay. A. PROTECTION AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS: The relay shall include the following protection and control features: 1. Time over current elements: one for each phase, one for ground. 2. Time over current curve characteristics: 4 pre-configured lEe curves : normal, inverse, extremely inverse, definite time; and one user configurable. 3. Instaneous over current l ~ m n s for phase and ground, each of which are independently enabled. It shall be possible to block the instantaneous trips using the relay I/O inputs. 4. A thermal image protection element for protecting equipment against overheating due to excessive load. 5. Minimum 4 Nos. of configurable Outputs shall bwe provided. The configurable outputs shall be assigned either to a set of preconfig ured values. or an OR / NOT combination of the same values. Each configurable output shall be independently latched and individually selected as NO or NC. The outputs shall be capable of providing a means to remotely operate the circuit breakers via a network. For Ganesh Electrical Contractorl 18- B.
