My Path Training Progress Report

08/17/09> Briefing
First day, our class met with Mr. John. Participants introduced themselves and also
acknowledging how they got to know the program.
08/19/09> Meet Cheri the Cherry
Briefly we met with Mr. John again. We also met with new facilitator, Ms.Cheri.
Participants introduced themselves again. Ms. Cheri spoke of her working
background. Five team of formation. We learned report writing.
08/20/09> Starting of Module 2 (Oral Presentation)
We exposed to basic of presentation and prepared 3 minutes presentation on “My
Future”.
08/21/09> Ms. Sharma, starting Module 3 (Business Writing Skills)
Self-introduction from Ms. Sharma. She suggested the memory name game to us.
We learned business writing skill criterion. 2nd half of the day, we watched Nu
Heights short movie with Ms. Chong and discussed the traits of the short movie.
08/24/09> Ms. Shaymala, starting Module 4 (Interpersonal Communication
Skills)
We learned peer-to-peer introduction. 2nd half of the day, we learned about the
Internet browsing search engines from Mr. John.
08/25/09> Continuance of Module 4
Ms. Shaymala introduced the role-play. We had fun by creating new culture and
expressed them with gestures, dancing and movements.
08/26/09> Continuance of Ms. Cheri’s Lecture
We concentrated on Employability Skill and Importance Career Values topics.
08/27/09> Ms. Cheri, Continuance of Ms. Oral Presentation
We enjoyed the ice-breaker session focused on the importance of visual aids an
discussed on the tips for slides and transparencies. Moreover, we did the checklist
comparison by starting five group roles-catcher, timer, grammar, body language
and voice tone.
08/28/09> Ms. Sharma, Email Writing
We discussed the details of email writing criterion. 2nd half day, we watched a short
documentary “FISH” and the traits of the documentary.
09/01/09> Ms. Shaymala, spoke on Non-Verbal Communication
We had many activities addressed on Non-verbal communication such as Charade,
role-play and silent dramas.
09/02/09> Ms. Cheri, focused on Proposal Writing
We touched on the action proposal, discussed on the difference between action and
research proposal. Further than that, we focused on Sales and funding proposals
and briefly touched on budget writing.
09/03/09> Ms. Cheri emphasized on Personal Development Statement
We focused on personal development statement criterion and went through several
personal tests.

09/04/09> Ms. Sharma gave us lots of Grammar exercises!

She focused on the verb of frequency and action verb and we continued on email
writing skills.
09/08/09> Ms. Cheri’s Practical Exercises
We discussed on the job market and continued on personal development statement.
We also practiced on SMART goal writing.
09/09/09> Ms. Cheri focused on Chronological Progress Report
We spent the first half of the day on writing Chronological Progress Report.
