Welcome to the Faculty of Education at The University of Auckland. As you have accepted a place in the programme (i.e. you are matriculated), you now need to be enrolled in the courses for the year.
2013 Classes and Timetables
This is a 120-point programme. 60 points are compulsory courses [EDPRAC 608 A (15 points) and B (15 points) and EDPROFST 612 A (15 points) and B (15 points)]. The other 60 points are curriculum courses [from EDCURSEC 601-690 as indicated in your offer letter and approved by the Head of Programme through prior consultation]. You cannot just choose those that appeal to you. Please ensure you enrol into your curriculum courses first before attempting to enrol into the above compulsory courses.
If you are a student studying in the Manukau Institute of Technology Campus The only paper offered through MIT is EDPROFST 612A/B. The classes are on Monday evenings (5pm 8pm) semester one and Mondays (5pm-8pm) semester 2 and operate throughout the practicum period.
If you are a student studying in the Tai Tokerau Campus Simply complete and return the ED30B Enrolment Form to: education@auckland.ac.nz
If you are a returning student, you must contact education@auckland.ac.nz to ask about which classes you should enrol in. This is important since it can affect your progress through the programme.
Once you have signed and returned the form(s) required, you will become liable for course fees as well as other administrative fees that the university levies. If you subsequently decide to withdraw or make changes to your study pattern, then you may not get these back unless you either notify us or have exceptional circumstances. The University Calendar details the regulations that surround any fees refunds.
