1 Power Piping: Adalah untuk sistim pemipaan yang sering ditemukan pada pembangkit tenaga listrik, pemanasan dengan menggunakan sistemn geothermal, maupun pemanasan central dan sistim pendingin. ASME B31.3 Process Piping: Adalah untuk sistim pemipaan yang banyak kita temukan di Pabrik petrokimia, kilang minyak, pabrik kimia, pharmaceutical, tekstil, kertas, semi-konduktor, cryogenic plant, utility di process plant, terminal penampungan minyak dan gas alam, pabrik pemrosesan bahan makanan dan lainnya. Memang harus diakui B31.3 adalah code yang sangat luas pemakaiannya. ASME B31.4 Pipeline Transportation System for Liquid Hydrocarbons and other Liquids: Banyak ditemukan pada sistim pipeline yang menghantarkan fluida yang umumnya dalam bentuk cair dari sebuah Pabrik ke sebuah terminal, maupun didalam terminal itu sendiri.

ASME B31.5 Refrigeration Piping: yaitu untuk sistim pipa yang digunakan pada sistim pendingin baik untuk refrigerant maupun untuk secondary. ASME B31.8 Gas Transportation and Distribution Piping Systems: adalah untuk sistim pipeline yang menghantarkan suatu produk yang umumnya adalah berbentuk gas, mulai dari tempat dia ditemukan sampai ke pabrik pengolahannya, termasuk diarea kompresor, maupun diarea metering stations. ASME B31.9 Building Services Piping: Ini adalah khusus untuk sistim pemipaan yang sering kita lihat di gedung-gedung bertingkat baik milik umum maupun industri, dan juga komplek perumahan yang bertingkat banyak. ASME B31.11 Slurry Transportation Piping System: Yaitu sistim pipa yang menghantarkan suatu cairan yang banyak mengandung komponen padat dari suatu pabrik atau terminal ke pabrik atau terminal lainnya. Juga termasuk didalamnya adalah sistim pipa yang berada didalam pabrik atau terminal tersebut.
