SEMINAR REPORT-2011

Automated Water Supply Control System

ABSTRACT
he rapid growing of the wide urban residential areas imposes the expansion as well as the moderni!ation of the existing water supply facilities. Along with this one more problem is identified in the water supply channels" some people use # H$ to % H$ pump to suck the water directly from the channel of their home street. $rocess automation system based upon utili!ation of an industrial $L& and $& systems including all the network components represents the best way to improve the water distribution technological process. he water theft can be best monitored by the flow variations given by the flow sensors mounted on the channels. he system includes 'emote erminal (nits ) ' (" specific transducers and actuators distributed on a he wide geographical area and control and power panels for the pump stations.

reliable instrumentation connected to $L& or ' ( assure real time monitoring of the main technological parameters of large water distribution networks. he data ac*uired of +&A,A system -+upervisory &ontrol and ,ata Ac*uisition. represent the support for optimi!ation of the process and data- driven ,ecision +upport +ystem. he system uses H/0 implemented on $& to ensure the process supervision and remote control functions based on 1$& technologies and wireless communication components for WA2 data transfer. he complete +&A,A system for water distribution enable the user to get a high operation safety of the network" a cost effective use of e*uipment" energy efficiency and optimi!e the daily operation and maintenance procedures.
