ADDITIONAL COURSE INFORMATION: 1. Homework is assigned at the completion of each topic. Each student is encouraged to attempt the homework. Students will be duly informed which homework sets are to be submitted. Only selected homework sets will be graded. Homework solutions will be posted on the course website before the next assignment. 2. All tests will be open textbook and open notes only. The Instructor reserves the right to curve the grades. 3. The Instructor may change the Test dates given above. Any change will be announced and/or posted on the website at least two weeks in advance. 4. Only medical excuses and events beyond your control will be accepted for absence in exams/quizzes. Instructor must be informed at least 24 hours prior to exam. Under such circumstances no make-up exam/quiz will be given for midterm and quizzes, but the score of the next exam (final) will be normalized by the sum of the defaulted exam and the final. If you missed the final exam for the above reasons, you will be allowed to take either the same exam (with a pledge that you received no help from others concerning the contents of the exam), or a new one, at the discretion of the Instructor. I-grade will be given only to students who are unable to attend the final. 5. Cheating in exams and quizzes in any form will result in automatic F for your semester grades. 6. The Instructor reserves the right to revise this syllabus within the first two weeks of the semester.
