Sports In charge & Librarian, Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida (UP). Padhoge Likhoge Toh Banoge Nawab Kheloge Kudoge Toh Banoge Kharab. A popular saying in Hindi always stimulates parents to stop providing playing opportunities for their kids at childhood. Parents often believe that Nawab means who is living a luxurious life with all available modern resources but fact is something different, Nawab is the one who is having a sound body with all available resources, as the other common saying states that Health is Wealth.

Indian parents seem to be more worried about the handsome career of their children. Sometimes parents create obstacles for their children to prove supremacy in the field of games and sports. It is very unfortunate to note that Play aspect is being denied to the children of developing countries because of the factors like; wrongly conceived education policies, poverty, social customs, less importance to play in academics, attitude of teachers, parents and school administrators, urbanization, mechanization etc., and India is no exception to it.

Since the school time, more academic pressure has been immensely imposed on the shoulders of the children. More academic pressure does not allow them to participate more in games and sports. Academics alone cannot provide the platform to nurture an individual.

When a child enters its college life, more and more pressure is imposed on it by both parents and teachers about the future perspective. Sometimes this pressure leads to depression. For college going students a little healthy and positive sports environment is very essential to cope up with academic as well as personal lifes pressure.
