Prophetic Fulfillments of 2001 What to Expect in 2002
Many have stated that it is impossible to know whether or not we are living in the last days before the second coming of Jesus Christ. However, below you will find dramatic proof that these are the endtimes. The proofs below defy coincidence.
Euphrates River to Be Dried Up
In Revelation 16:12, the Bible predicts that the Euphrates River will be dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the east to invade Israel. This will happen at the time of the battle of Armageddon according to verse 16 of the same chapter. The battle of Armageddon will be the final battle at which time Jesus will return and fight on the side of the nation of Israel. Immediately thereafter He will establish His kingdom and usher in His one thousand-year reign of peace. On January 13, 1990, the Indianapolis Star carried the headline Turkey Will Cut Off Flow of Euphrates for One Month. The article stated that a huge reservoir had been built by Turkey. While filling up the reservoir, the flow of the Euphrates would be stopped for one month and a concrete plug for a diversion channel built. These things have now been done. With this newly built dam, Turkey has the ability to stop the Euphrates River at will. The conditions for fulfilling this 1,900 year-old prophecy are now in place.
In Revelation 9:15-16, the Bible prophesies that an army of 200 million soldiers will launch a war which would kill the third part of men. Never in the history of the world until our present generation has there been a power on earth that could field 200 million soldiers. However, the late ruler of China, Mao Tse Tung boasted in his diary that he could field an army of 200 million. The CIA World Factbook reports that in the year 2001, it is estimated that China has 200,886,946 men of military age, and this number is growing by 10 million per year.

Worldwide Numbering System Predicted
In Revelation 13, the Bible prophesies that a world dictator will soon rule over a world government. He will cause all people in the earth to receive a number without which they will be unable to buy or sell. We are seeing this prophecy fulfilled before our eyes in a most astonishing way. Nearly every human being in the world now has been assigned a number. In America it is our Social Security number. In the past few years, we have seen this number extended to newborns. A child without a Social Security number cannot be declared as a dependent on an income tax return. We have seen the emergence of electronic money, shopping with credit cards, and many people urging the abolishment of cash. All of these things could not possibly have been fulfilled until this present time. Only after the invention of the computer could such a worldwide numbering system be administered.
Revelation 13:7 and Daniel 7:23 prophesy the establishment of a world government. The term New World Order has become a prevalent phrase in the worlds political culture. Mikhail Gorbachev made the term famous, and Pope John Paul II has referred to it repeatedly. In the September 12, 1990 issue of the Chicago Tribune, our former president George Bush said, Iraq is the first test for the New World Order. He emphatically stated that the Iraq War is Saddam Hussein against the world. The United Nations troops are continually referred to as the multi-national forces. The decision has been made to establish an interdependent community of nations that will rule the world under United Nations authority. The Bible says that this will lead us into a great world government. The formation of this government is at hand.

s we enter the year 2002, we have the distinct feeling of sailing into uncharted waters. Jesus said that in the last times we would hear of wars and rumors of wars. This is certainly happening right now. The media is discussing the possibility of a world war between civilizationsbetween the Muslim world and the West. The times just ahead will unveil some of the most momentous prophetic fulfillments since the worlds began. It is entirely possible that the year 2002 could bring the greatest prophetic fulfillment since the resurrection of Jesus Christthe confirmation of the covenant, which will mark the beginning of the final seven years before the Second Coming. In the critical times ahead, those who know the prophecies of the Bible enjoy a distinct advantage. Jesus told us how we should
respond to these circumstances: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass (Matthew 24:6). While many people are seized with fear because of the times, we realize that these times offer the greatest opportunity that has ever existed for world evangelism. No one can claim to have a corner on what the future holds. However, in the midst of all the uncertainty, we have the wonderful comfort of knowing the One who holds the future. So should our attitude be one of dread as we enter deeper into the shadows of the endtime? Or should we have an unprecedented sense of motivation and mission? Daniel 11:32-33 defines the destiny of our generation: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many I say, Lets go!

What is Endtime Magazine?

In 1968, Irvin Baxter Jr. discovered the United States and other modern nations in the Bible. He also found the Berlin Wall in the Bible and that one day it was to be torn down, reuniting Germany, and that event would be the catalyst to spark an international movement called the "New World Order." These things have now come to pass. Irvin Baxter Jr., a Pentecostal minister, began Endtime Ministries in 1986 when he wrote A Message For The President, a book explaining the major prophecies of the Bible which he had been teaching since 1968. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, prophetic fulfillment accelerated rapidly. The decision was made to launch Endtime. The purpose of the magazine is to explain the prophecies of the Bible and to show that they are now being fulfilled in intricate detail. Articles focus on the soon return of Jesus Christ, the truth of the Bible, and the need for salvation. Endtime does not deal with doctrinal controversies, as valid as they may be. Wants Jesus to Return Now
Whats On Your Mind? Endtime Wants to Know.
Since September 11, there have been so many calls for us to pray for revival. From pastors to politicians to friends, it seems like everyone wants me to pray for revival. In all honesty, I want Jesus to come back. If a revival in our nation means His coming will be delayed, then I dont think I want it. Am I wrong to think this way? J. Barber Dallas, Texas Reply: Praying for revival will not delay the return of Jesus. That time is pre-determined and will not change. The right thing to do is pray for revival until Jesus does come.

Where Does the EU Fit In?

The European Union seems as if it wants to govern the entire world as it is constantly extending the reach of its power. The United Nations is already constructed to deal with global governance. How do you interpret the role of the European Union within the United Nations? J. Kirk Tomahawk, KY Reply: The European Union is a very powerful force in our world. It will almost certainly make up a significant part of the prophesied revival of the Holy Roman Empire. The EU is probably the leading force on earth today advocating the move into one-world government. Europeans, as a general rule, are very pro-UN. It appears to me that the European Union will be an integral part of the UN under the reign of the Antichrist.

Harvey Reply: As we have stated repeatedly, the term endtime does not refer to the end of the world. We have never said that the end of the world is imminent. The Bible clearly teaches that there are at least 1,000 years of human history remaining. When we say endtime, we are saying that the end of human government is just ahead, and that the era of the promised kingdom of God will soon begin. This should be taken as good news, not bad.
My question: The Bible prophesies that there will be a great falling away of the saints and a great revival to come before the saints are caught away to be with the Lord forever. Do you and your staff believe that the events of September 11th was the beginning of this great revival? If not, is it safe to say that it is just around the corner? The Bible prophesies the most evil era in the history of the human race for the times just ahead. Considering Revenge
Am I wrong as a Christian to want revenge? I know God says revenge is mine, but arent we as Americans right in fighting back? In the Old Testament, God got angry when Israel did not totally wipe out their enemies when He told them to. But Jesus seems to teach differently in the New Testament. What are your thoughts? Keith Reply: It is important that we understand the difference between the Old and New Testaments. In the Old Testament, Gods people had a physical kingdom, which fought physical wars. In the New Testament, Gods kingdom is spiritual, and the wars that we fight are spiritual. Consequently, we are taught not to resist evil treatment. Jesus said that, if we are smitten on one cheek, we should turn the other. Our weapon against evil is forgiveness. Yes, it is wrong to want revenge. Try forgiveness instead.
Hedge Down, America

We see all the signs and people repeating, God Bless America! The truth is we are blessed, but we have not blessed the Blesser in return. We should have signs that say America Bless God! How can we invoke God to bless us when we have taken Him out of schools and public life? Now we have a dire situation, and we call on Him for help. As a whole, Americas greed, abortion, perverted life styles, and sinful ways have only invoked his curses and not his blessings. I believe God has taken down the hedge of protection from America. Sharing of the Temple Mount

The all-out effort of the Clinton administration to reach a peace agree-
ment in the Middle East continued till almost the final day of Clintons presidency. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak so strongly desired to conclude an agreement that he made an unprecedented concession. He offered to surrender the Temple Mount in its entirety to Palestinian control. When Barak made this offer, most Mideast observers were shocked, but they were also excited. Dispute over the status of the Temple Mount had supposedly been the obstacle to a final agreement at the Camp David talks in July

2000. It looked like the way was finally clear for the signing of an historic peace accord. However, from a prophetic point of view, there was a major problem. The Bible does not prophesy that the Temple Mount will be under Arab control during the times just ahead. Revelation 11:1-2 prophesies the sharing of the Temple Mount between Jew and Gentile during the final years leading up to Armageddon. How could this prophecy come to pass if Arafat and the Palestinians accepted Baraks offer? The surprise that an Israeli prime minister would ever volunteer to surrender the Temple Mount, Israels holiest site on the face of the earth, was only exceeded by the shock that Yasser Arafat turned the offer down! Arafats rejection insured the election of Ariel Sharon as Israels new prime minister a month later, and also guaranteed that the offer to forsake the Temple Mount was no longer on the table.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4 prophesies that the Antichrist will stand on the Temple Mount in a rebuilt temple claiming to be the sovereign authority thereclaiming to be God. Before Prime Minister Barak made his offer to totally surrender control of the Temple Mount to the Palestinians, he had suggested that the Temple Mount could be placed under international control. On September 22, 2000, Israels Haaretz Daily News reported that Israel was pushing an initiative to hand sovereignty on the Temple Mount to permanent members of the UN Security Council in an effort to break through to a final status agreement with the Palestinians. The article stated, Israel now believes bringing the Temple Mount under the

Soon after President Bushs inauguration, he was asked to what extent the United States would go in order to defend Taiwan in case of a Chinese attack against her. Without hesitation, President Bush promised that the U.S. would do whatever it takes. Past U.S. presidents had intimated that the United States would stand with Taiwan. However, President Bush was the first president to unambiguously promise full U.S. commitment. Bush then, over Chinas vehement objections, concluded an agreement to deliver very advanced military equipment to the Taiwanese military.

China has stated repeatedly that, if Taiwan declared independence, it would mean war. In 2001, Taiwans President Chen Shui-bian did just that. While visiting Panama City in May, Chen said that Beijings cherished one country, two systems formula aims to annihilate the ROC (Republic of China, Taiwans official name), and that the 23 million people of Taiwan will never accept it. He went on to say that the ROC on Taiwan is an independent sovereign state, not a province, nor a part of another country. So has China backed down, or is she merely biding her time? Many people

What a year for world government!

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks against the United States, British Prime Minister Tony Blair declared that national sovereignty is now out-of-date. Blair contends that the global alliances, formed in the wake of the attack on America, are, in fact, superseding national sovereignty. The EU Observer, November 24, 2001, reported that Blairs foreign minister, Jack Straw, echoed the Prime Ministers view. Straw wrote in the Independent, In a world where states and the interests of their citizens are so obviously interdependent, we need to re-think our attitudes to concepts like independence and sovereignty. In todays world, he added, by sharing sovereignty, a people may end up with more, not less, independence of action, more not less internal self-government and more, not less, control over their lives.

He recently told the UN Security Council that he envisioned a two-year transitional government run by Afghans and backed by a security force.
France supports world tax

Advocates of world government know that a world tax is essential to funding their anticipated one-world system. Obviously, if you are going to have a world government, you must have a world taxing system. In August of 2001, Frances Prime Minister Lionel Jospin announced that France would put forward proposals for the Tobin tax at the next meeting of European finance ministers. The Tobin taxnamed after Professor James Tobin, the Yale professor of economics and Nobel prize winnerwould impose a tax of up to 1% on all international currency trades. This would generate multiplied billions of dollars for the anticipated world government system. Leaders at the United Nations desperately want the world tax. Once implemented, it will no longer be possible for large donor countries (such as the U.S.) to hold the UN hostage by refusing to pay their dues. The UN will be independently funded and thus can function as a sov-
ereign world governmental system. Frances proposal of a world tax is a huge leap toward the world government prophesied in Daniel 7:23: Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth
The proposal is now under consideration to make Russia a partner in NATO. The year 2001 certainly was the year that the feet of the bear became firmly attached to the world government beast.
World Court system gains power

One of the key components to world government is a world court system. A world court system is actually the teeth of the world government beast. On June 27, 2001, the World Court shocked many Americans when it boldly claimed authority over the courts of the United States. Journalist Betsy Pisik reported on the event for the Washington Times. The International Court of Justice yesterday criticized the state of Arizona for executing a German national in defiance of its wishes, insisting in its most explicit language that ICJ orders are binding on U.S. and other national courts. Another huge leap toward the empowerment of an international court system was the arrest and illegal extradition to the World Court of former Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic. The International Community had demanded the arrest of Milosevic so that
The feet of the bear

One of the prophecies of the endtime world government is found in Revelation 13. The beast, symbolizing the last day world government, is described as having the feet of a bear. Many have feared that Russia might return to a Cold War mentality under President Putin. However, we can say with certainty that this will not occur. Scripture very clearly demonstrates that the Russian bear will be an integral part of the endtime New World Order. In the last half of 2001, we have witnessed a distinct warming of relations between Russia and the West. President Bush and President Putin spent several days together at the Bush ranch in Crawford, Texas. During this time the two world leaders appeared to get along famously.
he could be tried for certain alleged crimes. Yugoslavias government did arrest him with the intention of putting him on trial before a Yugoslavian court. The International Community insisted that Milosevic must be extradited to the World Court at the Hague and placed on trial there. The Yugoslavian government was told in no uncertain terms that the money Yugoslavia needed from the IMF and the World Bank would not be forthcoming unless Milosevic was extradited to the World Court. Since NATOs attacks had destroyed much of Yugoslavias infrastructure, the nation desperately needed the funds promised from the international bankers. However, Yugoslavia had no law authorizing the extradition of its citizens to the World Court for trial. An attempt was made to pass such a law, but it was defeated in the Yugoslavian Parliament. The international pressure was so severe that the Yugoslav cabinet decided to order the extradition of Milosevic by executive decree. Milosevics lawyers appealed to the Yugoslavian Supreme Court. The Court ordered a delay of execution of the executive order until the case could be heard. The government ignored the court order and whisked Milosevic off in the middle of the night to the World Court. So much for the rule of law! The only rule applying here was the golden rulehe who has the gold, makes the rules!

It is obvious that the most impacting single incident of 2001 was the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The burning question is: How did this unprecedented event affect the emergence of the prophesied one-world government? It must be stated from the outset that President George W. Bush did not follow in the footsteps that his father had taken in the Gulf War of 1991. President Bush Sr. had sought approval from the UN for each action taken during the Gulf conflict. President George W. Bush did not do this. To those who fear the emergence of world government, this was good news. Foreign troops defend the U.S.

One of the most ominous developments proceeding out of the attack on America was foreign troops being enlisted to guard the borders of the U.S. during this crisis. NATOs Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) aircraft, with crews from 12 different nations, began patrolling the skies over America on October 12, 2001. President Bush said about this development, This has never happened before, that NATO has come to help defend our country. But it happened in this time of need, and for that we are profoundly grateful. This is the first time that foreign planes have had direct responsibility for defense of the United States. Marcus Corbin, a senior analyst at the Center for Defense Information said, Sending the AWACS planes is largely a political gesture. NORAD (the North American Aerospace Defense command) is perfectly capable of doing the jobs AWACS planes can do. This leaves us wondering if President Bush was exploiting an emergency situation to accustom Americans to the idea of international forces on U.S. soil. If so, this is terribly alarming.

Global religious unity

One of the endtime prophecies that is hardest to believe speaks of the birth of a global religious system. During the last year, the concept of a global religious structure has been gaining influence with amazing speed. In the year 2001, we may have seen the greatest advance ever toward the prophesied global religion. The message that all great religions really serve the same God is being heard more and more frequently. Pope John Paul II made history on May 6, 2001. While visiting Damascus, Syria, he became the first pope to ever visit a Muslim mosque. The Pontiff, who revolutionized ties with the Jews by visiting Romes synagogue in 1985, said it is now time to turn the page with Islam, too. For all the times that Muslims and Christians have offended one another, we need to seek forgiveness from the Almighty and to offer each other forgiveness, he said in his address to Muslim leaders, including the Grand Mufti of Syria. Better mutual understanding will surely lead...to a new way of presenting our two religions, not in opposition as has happened too often in the past, but in partnership for the good of the human family.
Bush promotes Interfaithism

One of the strange results of the terrorist attacks of September 11th has been the promotion of Interfaithism. In an effort to hold his fragile coalition against terrorism together, President Bush has apparently felt compelled to make statements legitimizing the Muslim religion. The President has stated repeatedly that the Muslim religion is a great faith. He went so far as to host a dinner for Muslims at the White House during the Ramadan holy days. It should be noted that Muslims deny that Jesus was the Messiah. They do not believe Jesus is God. They teach that He did not die on the cross. Nor was He resurrected from the dead. For a President, who professes to be a born again Christian, to participate with a pagan, antichrist religion in the White House is alarming, to say the least. Its easy to understand why President Bush has done these things, but on issues of this seriousness, the end must not justify the means.

Presbyterian Churchother ways to God?

Interfaithism continues to sweep through mainline Christian denominations. The 213th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA, held in June of 2001, considered whether Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. The Assembly voted 369-163 to establish a committee to study if there are other ways to God outside of Jesus Christ. It would have been much simpler to check what Jesus Himself had to say about this. In John 14:6 Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Of course, this doesnt help much if you no longer believe the Bible. Apparently the leaders of the Presbyterian Church no
longer do, since at this same General Assembly they voted that homosexuals are now acceptable as clergy. Never mind that Leviticus 20:13 declares, If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Sodomites in the pulpit? Now that will fit nicely into the one-world religion!

ports around the country. Face recognition technology, iris scanning and fingerprinting devices are being implemented throughout the fabric of American society. The most alarming development, to those familiar with the Bibles prophecies, has been the renewed call for a national ID. Proponents say that a national ID system would eliminate illegal aliens, prohibit people from operating with false identification and allow the matching of individuals with their unique biometric characteristics. One of the leading proponents of a national ID is Larry Ellison, founder and CEO of Oracle Corp. He offered to donate the software for the establishment of the national ID system. Fortunately, President Bush has opposed the establishment of such a system. If he remains steadfast against it, Americans may enjoy a temporary reprieve. However, the advocates of the ID system are determined that it is the wave of the future. Unfortunately, according to the Bible, they are right. Revelation 13:15-18 prophesies a time when every person on earth will have to have a number or a mark of identification in order to participate in the economy. The proposed national ID would certainly set the stage for this system, which the Bible calls the mark of the beast.
A Global ID
As this issue of Endtime goes to press, a speech has just been made at a meeting of the United Nations calling for the establishment of a global ID. The Washington Post, December 17, 2001, reports that a plan for a global ID was put forward by Pascal Smet, the head of Belgiums independent asylum review board. Under the plan, every person in the world would be fingerprinted and registered in order to fight illegal immigration and people smuggling. Smet said, There are no technical problems preventing the establishment of the ID system. It is only a question of will and investment. The world is much closer to accepting a global ID system than we might think. More than 100 nations already have a form of national identification and use them in a variety of ways to improve security, assist law enforcement and make the

Berlin Wall falls

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War, progress toward the envisioned one-world government has resumed. We have witnessed the empowerment of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization and myriad other arms of the emerging world government. However, the indispensable link to enforceable world government has still not been enacted. come the new General Assembly. After the normal perfunctory remarks, President Clinton dropped his bombshell. The time has now arrived to establish a permanent international criminal court. Before this session of the General Assembly was over, the decision was made to convene a conference to finalize a statute establishing an international criminal court. That conference was subsequently held in Rome, Italy from June 15 to July 17, 1998. The result was the adoption of the International Criminal Court Statute of Rome. Under this statute, every person on earth can be placed on trial before this court. This is true even if the persons nation has not signed onto the statute. Furthermore, Americans placed on trial before the new International Criminal Court will not enjoy the protection of the U.S. Constitution, nor the Bill of Rights. In order for the International Criminal Court to begin operation, the parliaments of sixty nations must ratify the Rome Treaty. At press time, 47 nations have now ratified. It is anticipated that the ratification process will be completed by the mid-point of the year 2002. Consequently, world planners believe that this world court system will commence permanent operation sometime before the end of the year. If this is not blocked, national sovereignty, for all intents and purposes, will cease to exist, and the New World Order will be enthroned! The world will probably not realize this for a while, but ten years from now we will all realize what a turning point in human history the establishment of a permanent World Court was. The Bible prophesies that the emerging world government will ultimately demand total allegiance from the citizens of the earth. Any who refuse to comply to the edicts of the world government will come under tremendous political and religious persecution. The World Court that seems almost certain to begin operation in 2002 will be the instrument used to perpetrate this time of tribulation upon mankind.

Revival of the Holy Roman Empire

The Holy Roman Empire was born in 800 AD when Pope Leo III placed a crown on the head of Charlemagne, declaring him to be emperor of the Holy

In Daniel 2:31-45, an image portrays the world empires that would rule from Daniels time until the Second Coming of Jesus. The Roman Empire is depicted as the legs of iron. The feet of iron mingled with clay symbolize the Holy Roman Empire. Revelation 17 portrays the Holy Roman Empire as a woman riding on the back of a beast, depicting the union of church and state. Both of these prophecies declare that the Holy Roman Empire will reign on earth during the endtime. So, is there any evidence of a re-born Holy Roman Empire on the present world scene? There is, in fact, undeniable evidence that the Holy Roman Empire is being re-formed right now.

Some projected that this union would ultimately become a United States of Europe. On March 25, 1957, the Treaty of Rome was signed. It created an economic union called the European Common Market. It was believed that, if the powers of Europe could be brought into economic union, political union would inevitably follow. This theory has proven to be true. As of January 1, 1993, the twelve member nations of the Common Market were completely unified economically. All trade barriers were abolished.

From there, the nations moved toward political union. A goal was set to develop a common foreign policy and to adopt one currency. It was believed that, once a common currency was embraced, the march toward total union would become irreversible. To signify this new stage of development, the unions name was changed from Common Market to European Union.

In the aftermath of World War II, the worlds two superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, relegated the traditional powers of Europe to secondrate power status. Realizing that the indi-

On January 1, 2002, twelve of the fifteen members of the European Union will discard their national currencies and move permanently to the common currency. Their individual currencies will be abolished on March 1, 2002. According to former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, one currency makes European union irreversible.
Latest developments
On December 15, 2001, the leaders of the European Union launched a constitutional convention to design a federated Europe. Their expressed goal is to create a new global superpower that will govern more than a half-billion people by the end of the present decade. According to the expressed plan, a European Constitution will be formulated by 2003 and adopted by EU members by 2004. A European military force separate from NATO will soon be formed and at least 10 more nations will be added to the federation. If these plans come to pass, the continent will be more united by, say, 2010 than at any time since the Roman Empire. In terms of population and gross domestic product, this enlarged European Union would be bigger and richer than the United States. Is a revived Holy Roman Empire in formation right now? Youd better believe it!
YOU MAY BE HEARING MORE about this man in the near future. Javier Solana is head of the European Unions foreign and security policy. The former Spanish Foreign Minister and NATO Secretary General is one of the most powerful and influential leaders of the emerging European super-state with very strong ties to the United Nations. He traveled to Israel during November in an attempt to arrange a summit between Peres and Arafat.
Adoption of the Earth Charter?

In March of 2000, Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong completed their work on a document called the Earth Charter. Gorbachev, the former President of the Soviet Union, is credited with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War. Maurice Strong was the Secretary General for the Earth Summit held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. More recently, he was appointed by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to head UN reform. Strong remodeled the UN, preparing it for its role in global governance as the world enters the 21st Century. Gorbachev and Strong gave birth to Green Cross International, the global
environmental organization of which Gorbachev is president. These two global planners now intend to seek endorsement of the Earth Charter by the United Nations when the General Assembly convenes in September of 2002. If the UN accepts the Earth Charter, it will become the road mapthe operations manual for our world. The Earth Charter contends that every activity of man must be controlled by an ideal called sustainable development. This simply means that every businessevery human enterprise must be evaluated for its environmental impact. Whatever it consumes from the earth or the environment must be replaced. Whatever damage it inflicts on the earth must be repaired. Furthermore, the cost for all of this idealistic snoopervision must be built into the price of every single product sold. World will continue moving toward a global ID

The prophecy simply says, And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:16-17) Simply stated, this prophecy foretells a time when people of the world will have to possess some kind of a mark or number in order to function in the worlds economy. This coercive economic system will be used to control people politically and religiously, and will be implemented during the endtime world government of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Of all the fall-out from the September 11th attack on America, none is greater than the call for a national ID system. Since the disaster, many different forms of intrusions into privacy have been justified. However, no development is as frightening as the proposals to implement a national or even global ID system. The United States has considered the institution of a national ID. Great Britain has taken the decision to do it. Some nations will probably adopt a national ID this year, while others may not. War that kills one-third of men?

The prophecy of Revelation 9:15-16 clearly foretells the killing of one-third of the worlds populationtwo billion people. This is one of those prophecies that we know is going to come to pass. China has threatened repeatedly to use military force to reunite Taiwan with the Mainland. China has said that, if Taiwan declares independence, it would be a cause for war. Taiwans President Chen Shui-bian declared, in one of his speeches last year, that Taiwan was a sovereign, independent country. China presently possesses 25 intercontinental ballistic missiles equipped with city-buster nuclear bombs, which can reach any city in the United States. Each of these bombs is ten times as powerful as the one dropped on Hiroshima during World War II. The United States just announced that we are withdrawing from
the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty so that we can build an anti-missile system. This system is projected to be operational by 2004. This is important because this system will take away Chinas ability to threaten the U.S. with nuclear attack. If China intends to keep her promise concerning uniting Taiwan with the Mainland by force, she almost has to do it before the U.S. anti-missile system becomes operational, since an invasion of Taiwan would almost certainly bring the U.S. into the conflict. Simply stated, these factors have placed China in a two-year window of opportunity during which she can make her move. Consequentially, the probability of the horrific war of Revelation 9:15-16 is higher within the next two years than it has ever been. Some of the prophesied events that are likely to come to pass in 2002 are quite frightening. What should we be doing in response to these things that we can see coming? here is a time in an international crisis when all are so frightened of what might happen that they will accept many things that they would not have even contemplated before the crisis; and indeed are unlikely to contemplate a week after it has ended. These were the words of Canadian diplomat Lester Pearson in 1968. He was speaking about a delicate window of opportunity just before the United Nations established its first ever peacekeeping force. The occasion was the 1956 Suez Crisis. The stated reason at the time for establishing a UN military presence in the region was the hope that it would deter a major military escalation between Israel and Egypt. Pearson, who later became Prime Minister of Canada, led the move in creating this first peacekeeping force, and for his part in making this a reality, he received the 1957 Nobel Peace Prize. It was not until the 1968 Reith Lectures, however, that Pearson revealed how the fear surrounding the Suez Crisis was actually manipulated in order to achieve a wider agenda. He further stated, So at the time...my resolution for a police force was greeted with almost unanimous acclaim. It therefore shouldnt come as a shock to learn that the September 11th terrorist attacks have become a rallying point for world government activists who want to see a permanent global security force established. been saying this for years. Now, with the world outraged and calling for a global crackdown on terrorism, members of the international community are using this cry to build upon their larger agenda. And as we just learned above, unknown to most, this is precisely how the first UN peacekeepers were formed.

Recently, detailed proposals have been circulating within the international community for an upcoming global tax. At the present time the United Nations is primarily funded through the contributions of member countries, which many globalists view as being restrictive to the growth of the world organization. In order to be freed from this monetary limitationimposed by sovereign nations, it is believed that an alternative source of revenue is needed. Already, one G7 nation has officially endorsed a world taxation
program that would provide such an alternative. Other countries are seriously considering this same course of action. Optional funding sources for the United Nations is not a new idea. Addressing the 1963 Harvard Alumni Association, UN Secretary-General U Thant related how a future United Nations world police force could only become a reality when the organizations economic hurdles had been overcome. Similarly, Richard Falk, one of the most influential world-law attorneys recognized the importance of independent funding in his massive four volume series The Strategy of World Order, which was published in 1966 by the World Law Fund. In it Falk noted, If we conceive of life in a drastically altered international system with a large UN Police Force and a World Development Authority having a budget of up to 50 billion dollars per year, then the need to have assured sources of revenue is indeed significant.

During the last couple of decades, innovative global thinking has resulted in a variety of alternative funding concepts. Presently, the United Nations Economic and Social Council has examined a multitude of money raising ideas, including the creation of a world lottery, a UN credit card program, and imposing fines for violating international law. One unique proposal being circulated within the international community is that of a UN Security Insurance Agency. This plan, if implemented, would allow small countries that lack significant military forces to pay insurance premiums to the United Nations. In turn, the UN would guarantee the security of the insured nation by mobilizing armed units against anyone who would threaten it. With this suggestion, the UN is empowered in two different ways; 1. Revenue is generated into the world body. 2. The UN is given its own international military force to deal with potential security breaches. Both elevate the world body far beyond its present-day stature. Surcharges and user-fees have also been suggested as viable funding options. In Our Global Neighborhood, the report of the UN sponsored Commission on Global Governance, a variety of user fee arrangements were listed: surcharges on airline tickets, including an extra charge for international flights G charges on ocean-going maritime traffic for use of international waterways G surcharges for non-coastal ocean fishing G user fees for activities in Antarctica, and G parking fees for geostationary satellites.

Canada adopts Tobin tax

In 1978, U.S. economist James Tobin published his thoughts on global monetary reform in the Eastern Economic Journal. His concept, now known as the Tobin tax, called for a universally accepted charge on foreign currency transactions. Considering the trillions of dollars traded each year, the fund raising potential is staggering. And, as a selling point to national governments, the concept is being touted as a way of clipping the wings of rogue currency traders. In fact, the Tobin tax has been so well received among various global policy makers that in 1999 the federal government of Canada officially endorsed it. On October 28, 1998, Lorne Nystrom, a Member of Parliament from the province of Saskatchewan, introduced the Tobin tax to the Canadian House of Commons. He said: If there were a 0.1% Tobin tax on foreign currency transactions, that would raise, in 1995 dollars, $176 billion U.S. That is a lot of money. A Tobin tax of 0.003% would be enough money to fund the United Nations peacekeeping around the worldOne of the consequences would be the establishment of a global village which would have a common good amongst all nations of the world. There would be a strengthening of international organizations. The United Nations would become a meaningful world government and would share things with national governments around the world. There could be permanent international peacekeeping forces. There are many things that could be done. Nystrom further clarified that the International Monetary Fund or the World Bank could be reformed to implement this plan, although he preferred a new international financial agency to administer the Tobin tax. According to Mr. Nystrom, the world would be a better place if we had a global IRS. While some members of parliament
did voice opposition to the tax proposal, it received broad political support across party lines. On March 23, 1999, the Canadian Parliament passed the Tobin tax with a vote of 164 to 83. At this time the tax is simply on the books, with the understanding that when the international community fully accepts it, Canada will already be in the loop. Considering that Canada is Americas largest trading partner, with commerce trade running in excess of $362 billion in 1999 alone, the Tobin tax decision takes on special significance. And now France, among other European nations and the European Union itselfis contemplating this tax. Brazil has also been discussing it.
The push for U.S. acceptance

Within the United States, the Tobin tax has been slow to catch on, but it is starting to make political headway. In the year 2000, Congressmen Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Senator Paul Wellstone (DMN) urged the U.S. government to enact the global levy. Certain special interest groups have also joined the cause. The California-based Center for Environmental Economic Development has established the Tobin Tax Initiative. And the World Federalist Association,
the nations largest world government lobby group, is hard at work to sway U.S. policymakers to consider the tax. International non-governmental organizations (NGOs)special interest groups with world-wide influenceare also supportive. The World Federalist Movement (WFM), which is the global mother organization under which the WFA operates, is striving to advance the principles of the Tobin tax. Its executive officer, Bill Pace, played a central role during last years UN Millennium Forum (May 2226, 2000), in which over 1,000 NGOs from around the world played a part. During one of the Forums sessions, world federalists and other world government advocates poured over ideas for alternative UN funding. Again, the Tobin tax took a high priority. During the final day of the Forum, international attorney Richard Falk through the invitation of Bill Paceheld a special meeting with world federalists and other key leaders regarding specific global governance proposals. Not surprisingly, many of the meeting participants had given vocal support to the Tobin tax earlier during the week. As an accredited participant at the Forum, it became clear to me that world taxation is viewed as a
strategic landmark in the creation of a world government. But there are problems.
Taxing Problems
While great strides have been made to advance world taxation, major implementation problems exist. The tax would have to be universally accepted; otherwise, non-participating nations would quickly become tax havens. With this in mind, what enforcement options would be used for non-compliant countries? Who would ultimately collect the tax and oversee its use? How would a global tax affect national and regional economies? And what safeguards would be employed to restrain corruption or to keep the levy from continually rising? Initially, problems surrounding design and management of the tax may seem insoluble. However, the fact remains that we now have a harmonized global tariffs arrangement, which at one time was considered as utopian as the presently discussed international tax. empowering world tax, a greater danger exists in what such taxation represents. In the third volume of Richard Falks Strategy of World Order, Norman J. Padelford, an early advocate of United Nations monetary reform, gave a warning regarding autonomous UN funding. The power of an independent purse could become the prelude to the seizing and exercising of independent power. This could be detrimental to national independence and even ultimately to personal freedom. She said: On the international level, graduated tax must be implementedPresently, Americans accept mandatory taxes on a state and national level. A successful world government rides on applying this system internationally. Aside from economic sacrifices, effective [world] government entails the sacrifice of certain freedoms. In cultivating security through a globally respected law enforcement system, all nations, and therefore all people must cooperate and make some sacrificesA world government must establish an equilibrium where certain freedoms are restricted in mankinds best interestglobal law transcends national law, and unity carries more weight than diversity. This requires each nation state to yield certain rights to the international government, vowing to abide by international decisions.

China is reportedly demanding $2 billion in compensation from Israel for the radar system deal that was cancelled due to pressure from the U.S., who feared that the system would give China a military edge over Taiwan if a conflict broke out with Beijing. Taiwans President Chen Shui-bian continues to say that Chinas military build-up poses a threat to regional security. Chinas navy has been practicing how to attack and sink U.S. aircraft carriers and rehearsing the invasion of Taiwan, according to the American Foreign Policy Council. China joined the World Trade Organization on December 10, ending its 15-year quest, and removing one of the obstacles for invading Taiwan. an economic pact with the Taliban regime. STRATFOR intelligence is reporting that the U.S. is holding Chinese POWs and refusing to turn them over to Beijing. Meanwhile, China is beefing up its military presence on two fronts along its Indian border, a move India is calling hostile. China and Pakistan are allies.
Wanna Live in My Country?

The Bible describes the mark of the beast as involving an oath that one must take in order to participate in the economy. With this in mind... The European Unions 10 million Muslims will be required to accept basic civil values if they want to live in the EU, according to Anna Diamontapoulou, Europes antidiscrimination chief. We must be very clear, she said. There are fundamental values in our societies, and if somebody participates in these societies, they must respect our values. If they dont, its going to be very difficult for us to co-exist. What the specific oath or pledge will contain is yet to be seen, but it is obviously connected in some measure to the persons religion and thus the interest to prophecy students. A day is coming when you will be asked to pledge an oath in order to get your number that will enable you to buy and sell, not at all unlike what is currently under discussion in the EU. It appears likely that the pledge will contain concepts of Interfaithism, which states that all religions are valid pathways to God. A Bible-believing Christian could not take such a pledge. Such may be the mark of the beast.
Imposing Peace in Middle East

On November 19, Secretary of State Colin Powell said that the U.S. was ready to contribute actively to an observer force that could eventually monitor and verify a peace accord between Israelis and Palestinians. Powell also called for a freeze on expanding Jewish settlements in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. He referred to the territories as occupied land. This is the first such characterization coming from a high level U.S. official. Settlers are defiant and intend to continue building. On December 17, the Taipei Times (Taiwan) ran this headline: Time for U.S. to Stand Up and Impose a Middle East Peace Deal.
Beijing-Taliban Connection
DEBKAfile, an Israeli intelligence news agency, is reporting (Dec. 18) that large quantities of Chinese-manufactured weapons were discovered in the Tora Bora cave hideouts of Osama bin Laden, further lending support to the theory that Beijing has been supporting the Taliban with both soldiers and weapons. The report has yet to be confirmed by a major news source. Recall that DEBKA was the first to report in late September that the Chinese military was aiding the Taliban fighters against the U.S., and that several Chinese soldiers had been killed in the fighting. It wasnt until three weeks later when Bill Gertz of the Washington Times confirmed the stories. This spirit of negotiation and dialogue has allowed nations that were once enemies to work together, and the single currency is a further step in that process. About 700,000 euro coins will bear his image. On the other side of the channel, a bill is being introduced to the British parliament to repeal a law which bars Catholics from succession to the British throne. The change would also allow members of the royal family to marry Catholics.
Interfaithism in Small Town America

Amen. Thats as far as the Kerrville, Texas City Council was able to go during its meetings opening prayer, as it discussed eliminating the name of Jesus Christ from its invocation. It is being requested that all prayers be made to a supreme being, because when a prayer of one religion is said, those of other religions would not be included. To unify means to join together, said Nancy Banks, a council member and Interfaith activist. To have a prayer which would bring the Muslim, the Hindu or the Jew or the Buddhist... to not make a prayer that represents one religion is unifying. Isnt it the same God? Banks advocated that Christians should follow Jesus example in the Lords prayer, where He prayed to God. Why cant Christians pray to God as Jesus requested? she asked.
Frightening Scenario
Israeli-based journalist David Dolan reports that according to security sources, Israeli officials are worried about a lack of U.S. involvement in a possible Middle East regional war, which Yasser Arafat appears to be attempting to orchestrate. It is feared that North Korea, who is closely allied with Syria and Iran, and has also provided weapons to Saddam, may be willing to attack U.S. forces stationed along his border with South Korea. This would preoccupy the U.S. at the same time major fighting would break out in the Middle East. An even graver scenario worrying Israeli officials is the possibility that another attack on American soil simultaneous with the other events would further consume U.S. military resources. This real scenario has also been considered by Egyptian leaders, prompting an unusual visit by Egypts foreign minister to Jerusalem. They warn that the tense region, and the entire world, could be sitting on a powder keg much larger than most people might imagine, with Arafat and company possibly getting ready to light the fuse.

A teaching manual for West Virginias police appears to place Christianity under a hate group ideology category. The states assistant attorney general, Paul Sheridan, helped craft the document along with former U.S. attorney general, Janet Reno. Homophobia is one of the targets of the hate crimes course being taught to untold numbers of law enforcement agencies. In the aftermath of the terror attack on the Indian Parliament in which eight Indians died, India recalled its top foreign diplomat to Pakistan, and is weighing its military options. Indian officials blame Pakistan-based militant groups for the attacks. Both nations possess nuclear weapons and both border China.
EU Now Against Arafat

In an unprecedented statement from the 15-member European Union, which has been consistently pro-Palestinian to this point, they told Yasser Arafat to dismantle the terrorist networks of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and declare an end to the violence. That was December 11. One week later, in a speech to his own people in Ramallah, Arafat called for more martyrdom, reportedly saying: I am willing to sacrifice 70 to die to kill one Israeli. The combative Arabic-language speeches that Arafat gives to Palestinians bear little resemblance to his speeches in English to the International Community in which he has repeatedly agreed to put an end to attacks on Israelis. On December 20, the European Union signed an agreement guaranteeing the Palestinian Authority 90 million euros over the next three months in aid. Sweden has also pledged to increase its support to the PA by 25%.
Digital Angel Reality in 2002

The bottom line is, when people are trying to regain their peace of mind, they're more open to new approaches. This was the comment made by Keith Bolton, the chief technology officer at Applied Digital Solutions, the Palm Beach, Florida company that has the patent rights to a chip designed to be implanted into human beings. In a major LA Times feature story on December 19, the company remarked that mind-sets toward such a device have greatly changed since 9-11, and that creates new opportunities for the company. The greatest opposition to Digital Angel comes from fundamentalist Christians and those who fear the use of chip implantation by a totalitarian state. The Federal Communications Commission has already issued its approval for the device, a necessary step because the chips use radio frequencies and work in concert with global positioning systems. Approval from the Food and Drug Administration is expected by June the last hurdle

Four New Videos

Endtime kept the TV cameras at the LeSea Broadcasting Studios in South Bend, Indiana, hot in November with the filming of two new Endtime videos by Irvin Baxter, and the assisting of Sovereignty Internationals director Dr. Michael Coffman with two videos of his own. All four tapes are now available. Coffmans lessons cover the
International Communitys ever-tightening grip on world finance, and how Russias control over Caspian Sea oil may have played into the events of 9/11. Interestingly, the day before these lessons were filmed, an obscure news story had surfaced on the Internet from Pravda, the official English language newspaper of Russia. The information in this article confirmed an unproven theory Coffman had about 9/11, and it inspired a complete last-minute redirection (and retitling) of his lesson, The Islam Connection. In Baxters first video, he gave an impassioned look at the history and future of the United Nations. The second video did not go according to plan. The subject was to be Revelation 18 who is Babylon in that chapter, and when will it be fulfilled? Baxter relates the events of the filming: It was my first time to teach the lesson in this format. Eddie had prepared 67 computer-generated images. My goal was to squeeze all of this material into 57 minutes. Something went wrong. I was moving through the images at a good pace when I realized that I was on Slide #62 and had yet to receive my 30-minutes-to-go signal from the floor director. I guess I was going a bit too fast. Virtually out of material, I slammed on the breaks. Eddie, watching from the control booth, later told me that this happened at the 23-minute mark of the video. What was I to do? Tell the truth. When all is said and done, its all I know to do. Unbeknownst to me, I had 34 minutes left enough time to tell it like it is. No, New York City is not Babylon of Revelation 18. The Babylon of Revelation 18 is the same Babylon of Revelation 17, and it is the Vatican. It is false religion. It is Interfaithism. I told the truth in love, from the bottom of my heart, uncompromisingly. My staff tells me its now the
best video on the shelf, although they insist that its not for the squeamish. Buyer beware.

After attending last springs Prophecy Retreat in Richmond, Indiana, long-time Politics & Religion listener John Burt from New Orleans moved to Indiana and, last month, married Endtimes receptionist, the now-former Paula Gulley. Prophecy Insight
shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine...Therefore I will shake the heavens (Isaiah 13:9-10, 13). Joel and Isaiah are seeing the same event. Both tell us that the sun, moon and stars will go dark during the Day of the Lord. In verse 13, Isaiah gives it a second title. He calls it the wrath of the Lord. John wrote of the same event under the 6th Seal: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth...For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Revelation 6:12-13, 17). We can comfortably conclude from these three scriptures that the sun, moon and stars go dark during the day of the Lord the great day of Gods wrath. Simple enough. Now lets reel in our great fish (Jonah 1:17). Consider the words of Jesus. He says in Matthew 24:29 concerning the Great Tribulation (v. 15), Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. Jesus is obviously speaking of the same event spoken of by Joel, Isaiah and John, only He gives us one additional clue and it is a very important clue. He says that the sun, moon and stars go dark after the Great Tribulation. Big fish. You see, many have been taught in the past that the Wrath of God is the Great Tribulation. But you have just discovered for yourself that the Wrath of God begins after, yes, after the Great Tribulation. No matter how pretty their words, no matter how much conviction with which it is delivered, and no matter how famous the teacher... He may say that the sun, moon and stars going dark is just a Hebraic expression that shouldnt be taken literally... She may suggest the implausibility that 20 million books in print cant all be wrong... They may tell you that this conclusion contradicts what has been commonly understood by scholars throughout the centuries. But no such logic can change what you now know. Gods Wrath isnt the Tribulation. It cant be.

ome things we just accept. Grass is green. There is a Creator. No need to prove it. Life has certain givens, basic tenets and fundamental understandings. Its true because its what weve been taught and...and...well, because its true, thats all. In this article, and in future ones in this same spot, we will dive into the scriptures to either prove or, heavens to Betsy, disprove some cherished theories relating to Bible prophecy. For example, we all know that the wrath of God is the great tribulation. Its the time when God pours out His wrath upon an unbelieving world. We read the ugly details in the Seals, Trumpets and Vials of Revelation. Books have been written about it. Movies produced. Institutes established. Youve heard it taught; you know its true. is the Great Tribulation. And today, heavens to Betsy, we tear it down. Ten-hut! Open your Bible to Revelation 6 and Matthew 24. Lets go fishing. The Bible speaks of a time when the sun, moon and stars will go dark. The prophet Joel saw it this way: The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come (Joel 2:10, 31). Here is Isaiahs description: Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
