Switching

Switching system were essential to telecommunication network operation in this


time. Function generated by switching system or subsystem its, aiming to provide
perkidmatan to clients.During communication system development, design
switching system has become more sophisticated. It bertujaan to provide added
convenience which enables communication network provide more service to users
and oversee operation and maintenance. Switching type used in Malaysia was
Stored Program Control (SPC). Other than SPC, distribution technique channel
staggered also used.

Broad frequency band used service given telephony was 300-3400Hz which it is
human voice frequency. As such, all equipment telephony and extension line
between that instruments must be cope handling in broad that band. In Malaysia,

1.1 Ibusawat

Ibusawat was one centre where all able telephone line connected to enable speech
relationship achieved. Equipment found in ibusawat function as switch to
facilitate joining process . Now, most ibusawat is GSC type (Group Switching Centre).

Ibusawat may be divided to 3 types namely :

i. ibusawat local - there is within one same area.


ii. ibusawat tandem - linking two or more ibusawat local and his key feature not
connected to clients.
iii. ibusawat international - ibusawat which connects ibusawat tandem
whole country.
Main function ibusawat is :
