Images are either Figures or Tables. Figures = graphs, flow charts, maps, drawings, photos, etc. Tables = numerical values or text displayed in orderly columns and rows.
Ensure Figures/ Tables are very clear. Provide sufficient meaningful information underneath each one. AUT Library database licence agreements allow students to use images in assignments. Statistics NZ also allows this. Write: Reprinted with permission. State copyright. Number each Figure and Table sequentially and cite each one in your writing as Table 1 or Figure 1, etc.

Note: If you simply refer to a graph or table and do NOT include it in your assessment, format the in text citation and the reference list entry in the usual way.
