his past March 5, I contracted the bond of marriage once again. It was the greatest wish of my new bride to be allowed to travel once to Israel. So it was obvious that we should spend our first vacation week after our wedding in Israel. This land is a prime point of attraction for many Christians. However, a few hurdles had to be overcome before we reached our destination, the hotel in Eilat. Involuntarily, I had to think of the journey to the heavenly land of Canaan, which is in store for everyone who is born again. After comprehensive security checkups, we finally stood in the airport of Tel Aviv before the counters of the passport control. Depending upon whether one had a passport of Israel or of another nation, one had to stand in a certain line. While all arriving passengers were eventually allowed to enter Israel, it is in principle different with the heavenly Canaan. This entrance control accepts only one nationality: he who

wants to enter must have the citizenship of heaven! Paul writes in Ephesians 2:19: Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. We received this heavenly identity the moment we turned to Jesus and He redeemed us, whereby we became the children of God (John 1:12). No one can take this heavenly status away from us (John 10:28). However, on the way to our heavenly destination, we are asked again and again to prove our legitimate status. We come to crossroads where it is worth keeping our destination firmly in sight, lest we lose the way. When the people of Israel left Egypt and wandered about in the desert for 40 years in order to reach the Promised Land of Canaan, they had to pass many tests. Moses confronted them with the Commandments, and then said, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God gives thee, a land that flows

with milk and honey: as the LORD God of thy fathers has promised thee (Deuteronomy 27:3). Moses showed them the ways of blessing and of the curse. Obedience brings the blessing, disobedience brings the curse. In Deuteronomy 28:12, Moses even promises: The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, heaven. The Lord has also prepared such blessings for us. And the best is to be with Jesus in the end. After our arrival in Israel, we drove in a rented car for several hours through the desert to our destination. Soon, it grew dark. Finally, we were once more stopped at a checkpoint shortly before our destination. The watch sentinel pointed to our light; it was not in order. Our way in life to the heavenly goal often resembles a drive through the desert. The sun does not shine all the time. And many a time, we are even surrounded by darkness. Therefore, it is vitally important to keep driving to our destination, and not to fall asleep. And now and then, we should also check our light. If Gods Word no longer speaks to us, then our light becomes weaker and weaker. Jesus says of Himself that He is the Light. And He says in John 12:35-36: Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. If we remain firm in His Word and do not neglect to read it and to receive it in ourselves, we will not stumble. God Himself gave His people this advice to take with them on the way: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). he continual instruction that Jesus intended required other elements to be set in place. Once again, events of the Passover week provided the appropriate classroom for such deep spiritual learning. In Matthew 22, Jesus answered multiple trick questions as various religious groups hopelessly tried to make Him stumble over some idle word that He spoke. But the Word of God (John 1:1; Rev. 19:13) had no idle words within Him, and their efforts to darken the sun would have rendered more possibility than the Word who became flesh (John 1:14) stumbling over His own Truth. Jesus concluded this interaction with a biblical substantiation of His Messiahship, as He pointed to His preexistent relationship with King David (Matt. 22:41-46). Quoting Psalm 110:1 (the Lord said to my Lord, sit at My right hand), Jesus proved from Scripture that the Messiah was both Davids son (physical heir) and Davids God (my LORD). The result from the various responses that Jesus gave, and even from one simple question, was that No one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him another question (Matt. 22:46). Having shut the mouths of the stonehearted, Jesus then took the offensive. In Matthew 23, Jesus instructed the multitudes by rebuking the ways of the scribes and Pharisees. In concluding His denouncement of the religious leaders, Jesus promised pending judgment on that generation and other generations who had rejected or who would reject Him (23:34-36). Yet, even in the midst of His reproof, the deep love of the heartsick Messiah showed forth: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. Behold, your house is being left to you desolate (Matt. 23:37-38). Then Jesus said something totally unexpectedto the disciples, to the masses, and to His opponents. He quoted the exact phrase from Psalm 118 that many within the multitude had shouted only two days before at His unforgettable entry into Jerusalem: For I say to you, from now on you shall not see Me until you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD! (Matt. 23:39).

One day God will pour out His Spirit on the Jewish people so that they will deeply mourn the One whom they rejected.
When we consider them, Jesus predictions must have greatly confused the vast majority of those who heard Him. Jesus statements were made on the same day as the discourses of Matthew 21 and 22and somewhere close to 48 hours after His, quote, Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. His reasoning seems disjointed, as though two distinct conversations occurred simultaneously, each incongruous with the other. Jesus demanded future praise from Israel, praise that had previously been given Him only a few days earlier. The people had already publicly proclaimed what Jesus had told them was necessary for the nation to see Him, namely, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD (Matt. 21:9; Ps. 118:26). One thing is certain; the answer that Jesus gave indicated that He did not view Psalm 118 as having had its fulfillment at the Triumphal Entry. The people sang and desired Psalm 118:25-26: O LORD, do save [Hosanna!], we beseech You; O LORD, we beseech You, do send prosperity! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD! But such prophesied days of blessing could not come without first having the builders reject the Stone placed there by God Himself. The times of blessing could not come unless the Lamb of God made proper atonement for the sin of the world (John 1:29). Most of those in Israel especially the various religious groupssaw no need for such atonement; after all, they had the functioning Temple sacrifices. Jesus never permit8

ted these basest of needs to leave His thoughts. Jesus had not participated in the Triumphal Entryonly a preview. The true Triumphal Entry awaits Him. For I say to you, from now on you shall not see Me until you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD (Matt. 23:39). Obviously, Jesus declaration is not a total abandonment of the nation of Israel. One day God will pour out His Spirit on the Jewish people so that they will deeply mourn the One whom they rejected. One day Israel will see: And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a firstborn (Zech. 12:9-10). One day, centuries yet in the future from Christs days on earth, Israel will again sing Psalm 118 at the advent of Jesus. But next time, He will readily accept what has been rightfully His from the beginning. The next pouring forth of praise will be after the cleansing of the nationand the cleansing of the nations. The next time, Jesus will enter Jerusalem in full Transfiguration glory (Matt. 25:31)and on a white horse (Rev. 19:11). Israel unwittingly wanted the glory without the cross. As Peter would reluctantly and slowly learn, Messiahs glory did not come without first the sufferings, as he later wrote in 1 Peter 1:10-11: As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful search and inquiry, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as

So little time remained,and Jesus had much,much more to teach His disciples (John 16:12)especially these two important members of His inner circle.Would Jesus not have greater lessons for them to learn than the physical activity of preparing the Passover? Actually,Jesus was teaching themboth then and in preparation for the future.
He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. This was the third time in three days that a section of Psalm 118 had been publicly quoted. Even more importantly, this was the third time that Peter and John had heard for themselves this Messianic psalm during Passion Week, as the drama unfolded before their eyes. But this was not the last time Psalm 118 occurred during Passover week. A most important segment, the fourth part of Jesus lesson, was about to begin. groups who would enter the designated area when summoned by the priests and Levites. As the multitudes assembled for the sacrificing of the lambs, the massive Levitical choir sang the Hallel, which consisted of Psalms 113-118. Eventually, Psalms 113-118 began being called The Egyptian Hallel, because of its use during the Passover observances. Each of these psalms reminded the participants of Gods goodness, grace and provision for Israel. The congregation joined in the liturgy by repeating the first line of each psalm after the Levites sang it. They also chanted Hallelu Yah (hallelujahpraise God!) at the end of each line. A very solemn procedure occurred at the actual sacrificing of the lamb. The participantsnot the priestskilled their own lambs at the signal of the silver trumpets. Attending priests stood by in two rows waiting with bowls to catch the blood of the sacrifices. Each bowl would be passed down the line until the blood was finally poured out at the base of the altar. When the Levitical choir came to Psalm 118, the entire congregation repeated verses 25-26 after them:
O LORD, do save, we beseech You; O LORD, we beseech You, do send prosperity! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD;
Luke 22:8 records that Jesus selected Peter and John

to prepare the Passover that He and the disciples collectively would observe later that night. In view of the approaching trial and suffering of Jesusapproximately 24 hours of His incarnate life remainedsending two of the more prominent disciples to prepare the Passover meal seems at first to be an unwise choice. Let two other servants do this chore, or at least let two of the lesser disciples prepare the feast. So little time remained, and Jesus had much, much more to teach His disciples (John 16:12)especially these two important members of His inner circle. Would Jesus not have greater lessons for them to learn than the physical activity of preparing the Passover? Actually, Jesus was teaching themboth then and in preparation for the future. Taking the lamb to the Temple to be slain was the most critical element in the Passover preparation. Many thousands of participants representing their families or associates would proceed with their lambs to the Temple area at the prescribed afternoon just before the Passover Meal. But one could not arrive at the Temple and slaughter the lamb whenever one wanted to; all had to be done in proper orderand with the proper worshipful accompaniment. The sheer number of Passover lambs to be slain required the formation of three different

These were the exact words Jesus had said that collective Israel would say before the next time they saw Him. Perhaps several looked around the Temple confines expecting to see Jesus make another dramatic entrance at that very moment, looking to see if some prophetic event accompanied this recitation of Psalm 118. This was the fourth time that Peter and John had heard Psalm 118 quoted that week, but there was one more essential usage in order for Jesus lesson to be complete.
Although the nation of Israel sang the

The significance of this threefold use of Psalm 118 for the masses, no doubt caused much conversation and debate, as the participants vacated the Temple area to prepare the final elements necessary for the Passover observance only a few hours away. Peter and John also heardand this time sang Psalm 118 as they stood in the Temple court sacrificing their own Passover lamb. The two disciples may have understood some of what Jesus attempted to teach them. At this point, however, they fought to repress their growing fears that the real Lamb of God was about to be led to slaughter in similar manner. Did either oneor bothgrasp the lesson that Jesus intended by specifically sending these two learners to prepare the Passover? Did they silently look at each other wondering if the other, too, understood the repeated use and significance of Psalm 118? Did Peter and John discuss this on the way back to where the Passover meal would be consumed, as they often had discussed among themselves the significance of Jesus words? Or did they walk back in silence, each alone with his fearful expectations of what the night would bring forth? Both Peter and John had repeatedly heard Jesus predict His pending execution. The

Egyptian Hallel (Ps. 113118) at other prescribed Jewish feasts, these psalms particularly related to Passover. During the Passover meal, families recited or sang the Hallel in their homes in much the same way that the Levitical choir had sung them earlier that day while sacrificing their lambs. Before the Passover meal, the worshipers sang Psalms 113 and 114. After the meal, they sang Psalms 115-118, all done in accordance with the ancient prescribed order. This last psalm of the Hallel most certainly would have been what Jesus and His disciples sang at their last supper before leaving the room (Matt. 26:30). In any event, Psalm 118:22-29 would be one of the last things verbally communicated before the unspeakable suffering of Christ began:

The lesson taught by God Incarnateall week, even earlier that day, and now at Passoverresounded in tens of thousands of different homes and gatherings within crowded Jerusalem. Each service individually pointed to the One who had so stirred the city all week. Each service bore divine witness to Gods Sonand to Gods sacrifice. Jesus and the Eleven sang Psalm 118 around the Lords Tableand around the Lords own Passover Lamb. Lost forever, except to only those present, were the hand gestures and voice inflections of the various words of Psalm 118 that Jesus may have applied specifically to Himself. Did Jesus point toward Himself, by gesture or voice, as He said, stone ... corner stone ... blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD ... the LORD is God, and He has given us Light ... bind the festival sacrifice ...? Perhaps He did. The words alone, especially in view of their repetitions during the week, may have spoken louder than they would have with any accompanying emphasis. Would Peter and John make eye contact with each other as they struggled to join in the singing of this psalm? Could they do so without weeping, as both realized, perhaps more than the others, what would take place next, having witnessed a graphic preview only hours before at Gods Temple? Did Jesus slightly turn His face toward them, examining them with the holy soul-searching eyes of God to see if they understood, even in a childs limited manner, what He had been teaching them step-by-step? Jesus and the disciples sing Psalm 118and leave the room for Gethsemane.

Jesus promised His own, I will not drink of the fruit of this vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Fathers kingdom (Matt. 26:29), thousands upon thousands of Israels religious establishment celebrated the same Passover meal, following the exact Passover procedure that Jesus and His disciples followed. Regardless of high rank or lowly status, all collectively or each individually recited Psalm 118; not one member was exempt. The religious authorities who celebrated the Passover that night repeated what they had heard and what they themselves had previously said. With varying degrees, some will be involved with the trial and sacrificial death of the Lamb. Each would offer his opinionif anyas to the significance of the Psalm, especially regarding the multiple references to Jesus, that already had been made that week. nificance of these verses, especially in relation to the identity and mission of Jesus. The person of Jesus had stirred tremendous debate for years, but it reached its zenith during this Passover. The finely orchestrated events and the multiple quotations of Psalm 118 only kindled the already whitehot debate concerning Jesus. No other topic of conversation would come remotely as close to the minds and lips of the Passover participants as that of the One who had come in the name of the Lord. God bore testimony in His written Word to His Incarnate Word. He also bore testimony from collective Israels own lipsfrom saddened disciples, to hostile foes, to confused masses. Alleven the most blatant rejectersbore witness to the Stone of Israel, the Son of God, placed there by God Himself. Johannes Pflaum What does the Bible say about world conspiracy theories? Do they belong to the prophetic Word? In Part 3 of this series, the last, we will go into this and other connected questions.
n Romans 13:12, Paul calls us to cast off the works of darkness and to put on the armor of light, in view of the advanced time in which we live. The armor of light is without doubt the truth and truthfulness, even if they are not explicitly mentioned here in this text. We find the admonition to truthfulness, however, in many other places in the Bible. As we saw in Part 2, almost all the so-called revelation books are based on speculation and conclusions drawn cleverly from facts. When we take a closer look, this is also the case in Christian revelation books on world Freemasonry. There are many conclusions and speculations, but little that can be proved. I am not trying to embellish the deception and apostasy within Christianity, but reveal the truth about the unprovable claim that behind everything it is world Freemasonry controlling these events.
We are not only concerned with speculations in this connection, however, but also the reality that behind many of the presented facts, lie false information and untruths. As an example of this, I would like to draw your attention to the supposed Illuminati sign on the US one dollar bill. I have had to apologize myself for spreading false information concerning this on various occasions. In diverse Christian revelation literature, it is claimed that this is the Illuminati pyramid, the sign of the world lodge, etc. The Latin words under this were translated to mean New World Order or For a new world order, the goal of the secret world government which allegedly already exists. Upon consideration of the facts, however, neither the sign is identical with the Illuminati pyramid, nor the translation of the Latin words. It is even questionable whether this sign has anything to do

with Freemasonry. The following are a few facts on this subject. The only common thing that can be proved between the USA and the Illuminati order is the year of their foundation1776. With this we have the grain of truth that is common in so many conspiracy theories. The Illuminati were not founded in America but in Ingolstadt, Bavaria (Germany), by Adam Weishaupt, and this at a time in which it was not possible to take a jet plane to the USA, nor were there any other practical means of communication. To this group belonged, among others, people like Adolph Freiherr Knigge and Privy Councillor, Franz Xaver von Zwack. But this occultic secret society was very soon shaken by quarrels and jealousy, which in the year 1784, only eight years after its founding, led to Knigge leaving the order. The secret order was forbidden in the same year by the Bavarian Prince-Elector, Karl Theodor, and ended in 1785.1 In 1896/97, the Dresdner Freemason and occultic writer, Leopold Engel, attempted to found the Illuminati order anew. Only in 1925 did he proclaim the Universal Illuminati order. This was, amazingly enough, finally dissolved by the National Socialists in 1933 and never appeared on the scene again. The dissolution by the Nazis was no coincidence and no deceptive maneuver. Hitler and Himmler were convinced of the Freemasonry world conspiracy, and opposed it with all the means they had. The world conspiracy theory was a pillar of National Socialism and the SS order.2 The only thing known about the Illuminati is of their unsuccessful attempts to undermine German and European Freemasonic lodges. An influence on the USA cannot be proved historically.3 The conspiracy theories, that the seal on the dollar note is attrib14

uted to the Illuminati, only began, according to my research, in the time after the Second World War. This should also give us food for thought. This is not possible, however, since Wallace was born in 1888, and the seal of the USA was already finished in 1776, 112 years before his birth. It cannot even be proved that this seal has anything at all to do with Freemasonry, whatever people may maintain. Probably, it is even a Christian symbol. The thirteen steps of the pyramid represent the thirteen founding states of the USA. The unfinished pyramid points to the yet unfinished States of America. The eye in the hovering pyramid is an ancient Christian symbol that is found in many churches. Presumably, only in later Freemasonry, around 1863,4 long after the founding of the USA, the pyramids as such were introduced into Freemasonry. There is not one historical source that proves a connection between the seal of the USA and Freemasonry. According to the research of Pastor Reinhard Mller, even the North American lodges, which speak very openly about their entanglements, distance themselves from this symbol. simply cheated in the translation. Actually, it says Novus Ordo Seclorum, which means new order of the ages, and not new world order or for a new world order. This is a quotation of the Roman poet Virgil from the year 40 B.C. With the States, the US Fathers wanted to create an exemplary religious, political and social order, in contrast to the slavery and the many religious persecutions in old Europe. With the new Constitution, they also wanted to rise above England. The idea of a world government can surely be excluded.5 This should be enough. At any rate, such false theories as the supposed sign of the Illuminati have nothing to do with the armor of light and related truth. As believers, we should keep our distance from these concocted things and not become involved. In a standard work concerning secret societies, it is also pointed out that there are Freemasons who were or still are involved in politics, but with whom there is no sign of any Freemasonic united world politics. Also, the so-called world lodge belongs within the realm of fairy tales. Many Continental lodges are at loggerheads with one another on the grounds of their completely different convictions. Thus, the English Royalist Lodge contrasts greatly with French Freemasonry, and has its own characteristics.6 In this connection, we must also be very cautious in calling anyone or their associates a Freemason, especially where the proof is not clear and the suppositions and speculations of any self-declared specialists are concerned. I am surprised at times how light and superficial even people in Bible-believing circles are concerning the truth. When I confronted a brother who also concerned himself with these conspiracy theories and world Freemasonry some years ago, and drew his attention to factual errors and false information, his answer was merely: That may be, but I still believe that the conspiracy theories are true. As I have said, it is about a real faith system.

Who likes to have something canceled perhaps an appointment or an upcoming entertainment event for which tickets have been purchased? Or, to be confronted by a sign notifying one: Canceled Until Further Notice. Not many.
et, cancellation is one of the most redeeming concepts of all. Not only does it apply to eternal matters, but is also essential for human affairs on earth. As the Lords Prayer mentions, [] forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors (Matthew 6:12). More than ever, the world is in need of cancellations. Around the globe, debt is soaring to unprecedented levels; more people are falling into economic oppression. While God put a plan in place that would redeem people from sin, there is also a plan to redeem the earth from debt.
The History of Debt Write-Offs Cancellation of debts became a common royal practice in the old Babylonian period. Hammurabi, who was the Babylonian king early in the second millennium BC (around 1800 BC dating varies), founded the basic principle of rulermandated debt cancellation in the renowned Code of Hammurabi. It is very likely that Abraham, the Biblical patriarch, lived during the very same time as Hammurabi. In fact, some scholars consider that the account of Genesis 14 actually references this same king, though under the different name of Amraphel, King of Shinar. To recall, it was

This is the doctrine that money is not allowed to earn income through interest. According to Islam, gain is only to be achieved through labor and trading. If money is allowed to earn income, though producing nothing, eventually it would lead to an imbalance of wealth distribution. Originally, Mohammeds forbidding of debt interest was more likely rooted in the idea that a fixed rate of interest was an affront to Allah, as only he could determine and underwrite the certainty of future income, not mankind. Later, Islam further intellectualized its view on al riba. But much earlier than Islam (only some 500 years after the era of Abraham and Hammurabi), during the time of the 40-year wilderness journey of the Hebrews, God gave Moses the commands of the Sabbath. As already reviewed in detail in Part II, there were two ordinances with respect to debt and credit cancellation. After entering Canaan, the Hebrews were additionally commanded to observe the Sabbath Year and the Jubilee Year. Moses codified the rules of debt forgiveness and the restoration of wealth distribution much more than the general haphazard concepts of debt forgiveness of the Akkadians 500 years earlier. These proved to be most wonderful ordinances for a number of reasons. Both practices of the Sabbath and Jubilee year were an effective means of ensuring that a permanent poverty class would not emerge; nor, that a society of a few ultrarich could enslave everyone for perpetuity. Creation and Money God has created the world for his purposes and glory. He made it so that the world could not function righteously without the concept of cancellation. It

Debt cancellation was one of Hammurabis first acts when he came into power. He is recorded to have ordered debt cancellations on at least two occasions in his reign. As in our time today, overindebtedness was a major problem in Babylonian society. Citizens could easily become enslaved to the creditor class. Anyone falling upon hard times or not able to pay taxes would be forced to borrow. Interest rates were onerous commonly as high as 33% over the duration of the loan period (this sometimes being as short as a few weeks). Once indebted, people were almost certainly doomed to even deeper debt or slavery. With such usurious interest rates, it would not take long for wealth distribution and concentration of land ownership to become extreme, this potentially also threatening the power of the king. It made sense to periodically decree an amnesty from all personal debts (this not including commercial liabilities in the case of the Babylonian system). This wiping out of debts rejuvenated society and served to maintain a sustainable wealth and power balance. Biblical Foundations for Debt Cancellation Down through history, philosophers and religious thinkers came to similar conclusions on the issue of repressive debts and wealth distribution. For example, more than two and a half millennia after Hammurabi, Islamic scholars began to develop principles that sought to achieve relief for the poor and sustainable wealth balance. Uniquely, their teaching of al riba served this end.

is not a coincidence that we commonly refer to the cancellation of debts as a forgiveness of debt. The Creation deliberately included such human notions as property rights and justice, which could not be possible without the concepts of indebtedness and ownership, therefore the facility of mankind to use money. But the notion of money had to be subject to Gods glory. Therefore, the pitfalls of money are part of the created order. Any human societyindeed, any personwho places their hope, affections or worship upon money (Mammon), will suffer eventual eternal loss or destruction (not to mention its corrosive ramifications for society). It is unavoidable, because God is a just and jealous God. In fact, Exodus 34:14 declares that Jealous is actually a name for God. We only briefly raise these points to better illustrate the wisdom of the Sabbath and Jubilee year. One of the pitfalls of money (this being a reflection of the nature of human lusts and affections) is its facility to become concentrated in the hands of a few. Anyone who has played the game of Monopoly will recognize this tendency. Eventually, one player wins all the money and the time comes to restart the game. Jesus himself so much as acknowledged this fallen state, saying, You will always have the poor among you (John 12:8). This tendency of wealth begetting wealth today is viewed by economists as a flaw of capitalism. They observe that over time, the competitive economic arena leads to winners who then become very large or wealthy, in turn having the ability to suppress new competitors. break up companies that were thought to have become too large i.e. AT&T and General Motors). The point we wish to emphasize is that the laws of money, compound interest and relative advantage (everything else being equal) contribute to the tendency that the wealthy get wealthier, and the poor, relatively poorer. However, these very trends over time lead to instability and eventual destruction. Just such a late stage situation exists in America and many other nations today. An extreme state of imbalance between the rich and poor is a worldwide phenomenon. An ever-smaller minority is becoming wealthier. Recent actions in the U.S. political sphere have signaled just how advanced and repressive this condition has become. Everywhere one looks in the world, a cry is heard for debt cancellation. The world groans for a Jubilee Year. As Apostle Paul says, We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time (Romans 8:22). Something else is needed to liberate the world, to free the economic captives. Debt Forgiveness and the Prophetic Plan The Lords Prayer, given to us in Matthew 6:9-13, has the statement,

Jesus Christ quoted Isaiahs prophecy about Himself (Isaiah 61:1-2) when He said: The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor (Luke 4:18-19). Christ deliberately did not read the rest of Isaiahs prophecy, which further reads [] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:23). Why? Because these were things that would be completed at His Second Coming, signifying the arrival of the year of the Lords favor. While our Lord proclaimed the year of the Lords favor during his first coming, it was not to occur until his second. The Lord did not rescue the poor at his first coming, rather the poor in spirit (Matthew 5:3 from the Beatitudes). The rescuing of all poor (Luke 6:20, Sermon on the Plain) will be fulfilled in the Millennium. Prophetic Parallels to the Jubilee Year Just what is meant by the Hebrew word for jubilee? It refers to the continuous blast of the silver trumpets that were blown as the Year of the Jubilee was ushered in by the priests. [] have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land (Leviticus 25:9). Ezekiel informs us that the year of liberty (year of freedom) will again be observed in the

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors (verse 12). However, Luke provides us a slightly different version of this prayer. He writes: And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us (Luke 11:4, KJV). Here we note that Matthew refers to debts being forgiven, while Luke mentions sins being forgiven. Two different Greek words are used: debts (opheilema) and sin (hamartia), respectively. Are these two accounts therefore inconsistent one of them perhaps in error? No. Both of these similarly involve indebtedness. Sin and debt are very closely related concepts. It is important to recognize that the Lords Prayer embraces the entire cosmology of Gods plan for the world and is therefore also prophetic in character. The statement, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10) will not happen until the Millennium at the earliest. Similarly, the full forgiveness of mankinds sins and debts, including that of the Hebrews (Daniel 9:24), will not occur at the earliest until the beginning of the Millennium. As such, the forgiveness of both debts and sins are in the spectrum of the Lords Prayer. Daniel was told that Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy (Daniel 9:24, KJV). All of these things await His return and the ushering in of the Millennium.

Millennium. He describes a procedure that will apply to a prince during that time: But if he gives a gift out of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his until the year of liberty [the Year of Jubilee]; after that it shall be returned to the prince; only his sons may keep a gift from his inheritance [permanently] (Ezekiel 46:17, AMP). While it is indeed remarkable that the Jubilee Year will again be reinstated, the prophetic parallels and symmetry of the 50th year of Jubilee to salvation and the Millennium we find to be the most inspiring. To begin, the number 50 is the year that follows 7 weeks of 7. Therefore, the Jubilee Year was the 8th Sabbath in a 50-year period. The number eight in the Bible signifies a new beginning. The blasts of the Jubilee trumpets parallel or foreshadow the final trumpet of the Lord (for the Church, this being the final calling in the Sabbath Rest) and the last judgments in the Tribulation period, these being followed by the Millennial reign of Christ. The precious year of the Jubilee can also be seen as the prophetic parallel of the Millennial Year of our Lord. That year is the Jubilee Year of the Lord. All sins and debts will be forgiven. They will be canceled. We see that financial debt in the physical dimension is the parallel of spiritual indebtedness against our Creator. Both must be paid back. Both can be forgiven. There is only one difference: while mankind may be able to pay back debts on earth, he cannot pay back his sin debt. Only Jesus Christ could make this payment. Thoughts to Ponder What was the most common accusation of the legalistic religious leaders against Jesus Christ? This question brings us back to the focus of Parts I and II. Ten times in the Gospels we read of them charging Jesus that he was breaking the Sabbath. Seven of these accounts involved Jesus healing someone. Indeed, the four Gospels provide multiple accounts of the same miracles. Two of them (involving the healing of the man with the shriveled hand, and the disciples husking grain to eat) are mentioned three times each. As such, there were six different acts of Jesus and his disciples on a Sabbath that attracted the ire of the religious leaders. It is astounding that the Lordthe Lord of the Sabbath Himselfshould be accused of breaking its ordinance. God has designed a plan for both heaven and earth. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to pay for the debts of mankind owed to God that he could not pay a transaction that would be extended to all those who would believe upon Him. Just as in the Jubilee Year of ancient times, this opportunity to cancel all debt (sin) is open to all. How wonderful then is cancellation. How many households today would dance for joy at the cancellation of their mortgage? Google is joining Citigroup and Mastercard to set up a mobile payment system that will turn Android phones into a kind of electronic wallet, theWall Street Journal said, citing people familiar with the matter.
The new technology, which is in its early stages, will allow consumers to wave their Android phones in front of a small reader at the checkout counter to make payments, the Journal reported. The planned payment system would allow Google to offer retailers more data about their customers and help them target advertisements and discount offers to mobile device users near their stores, the sources told the WSJ. Google is not expected to get a cut of the transaction fees, the paper said. Initially, holders of Citigroup-issued debit and credit cards would be allowed to pay for purchases by activating a mobile payment application developed for one current model and many coming models of Android phones, the paper said. This will certainly bring the Chinese closer to the US in terms of power resources, but China will not necessarily surpass the US as the most powerful country. The twenty-first century is witnessing Asias return to what might be considered its historical proportions of the world's population and economy.
In 1800, Asia represented more than half of global population and output. By 1900, it represented only 20 percent of world outputnot because something bad happened in Asia, but rather because the Industrial Revolution had transformed Europe and North America into the worlds workshop. Asias recovery began with Japan, then moved to South Korea and on to Southeast Asia, beginning with Singapore and Malaysia. Now the recovery is focused on China, and increasingly involves India, lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty in the process. This change, however, is also creating anxieties about shifting power relations among states. In 2010, China passed Japan to become the worlds second largest economy. During the past decade, China moved from being the worlds ninth largest exporter to its leader, displacing Germany at the top. Chinas authoritarian political system has thus far shown an impressive capacity to achieve specific targets, for example, staging a successful Olympic Games, building high-speed rail projects, or even stimulating the economy to recover from the global financial crisis. Unlike India, which was born with a democratic constitution, China has not yet found a way to channel the demands for political participation (if not democracy) that tend to accompany rising per capita income. Although France is a country not favorably presented in the US news media, this article by the British Guardian shows this super-socialist and very rich country to be functioning rather well. When it comes to healthcare, only Japan is a notch above France. Life expectancy in France is 81.19; in the UK 80.05 (USA 78.77). Japan leads the world with 82.25. Chance of survival at birth? Japan again leads with 2.78 deaths per 1,000, followed by France at 3.29, the UK at 4.62, and the US at 6.06. Will Britain catch up? Not likely in the near future. Deeply engrained tradition will only reluctantly allow for change. The reason we publish this information is simply to show the other side of the story, which most of us do not know. However, and this is the most important issue, it makes no difference who lives longest or who dies first: the Bible has this to say about life: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). 4038

Prior to each lesson, after announcing my topic, I authenticate the Bible as truly the Word of God. I begin by testifying about what God has done and is doing in Israel. I tell them of Gods curses (Jeremiah 8:13; Ezekiel 6:3, 6, 11, 14; 33:28; Deuteronomy 28:64-65; Jeremiah 25:11; Ezekiel 4:3-6; Leviticus 26:18; Ezekiel 36:24, 28-30, 33-34, 36), the restoration of the Hebrew language (Zephaniah 3:9), victory over enemies (Leviticus 26:5-8), and the beginning and duration of the scattering (Jeremiah 25:11; Ezekiel 4:3-6; Leviticus 26:18). Then I testify about how Zechariah 13:8 has been fulfilled and how verse 9 is currently being fulfilled. After this presentation, they eagerly receive the lesson I have prepared for

Answer: Your usage of cross-reference of Holy Scripture, particularly when it comes to fulfillment of Bible prophecy, must be commended. Israel indeed is a visible manifestation of Gods promise. After being in dispersion for over 2,600 years, the return of the Jews to the land of Israel is nothing short of Gods supernatural intervention.
It is downright fascinating that God prepared a land for the people; for example, Ezekiel 36:8: yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. In verse 26, God gives the Jew a new heart and a new spirit, and then in verse 27, He puts His Spirit in them. We must emphasize that God detoured the Church in the establishment of Israel; instead, He used the communist Soviet Union. The overwhelming majority of immigrants originate from the Soviet Union. Not surprisingly, the Soviet Union was first to recognize Israel on 17 May 1948. When it comes to testimonies about Gods supernatural intervention, I advise caution because most things reported are unsubstantiated. Besides, there are innumerable testimonies of civilians and soldiers experiencing supernatural intervention in virtually all wars. I always take the reports with a grain of salt, because we walk by faith, not by sight. However, considering the Jews hopeless situation after the Holocaustthe remnant tried to escape to Israel and was hindered by the mighty British Navy to enter the landthe fact that they did establish the State of Israel, which today has become a super success in the Middle East, is nothing short of supernatural.

Admittedly, there is very little found concerning this half-hour of silence, but I believe I have uncovered a solution. We know there are statements throughout the Book of Revelation making reference to an hour, but the context of this usage explains itself as an expression of a time to come or a moment in time. The half-hour is unique in that no such inference can be made, and it is not explained as a general expression of timewhy the halfhour, why not just say, in this hour, or during that hour? The key, I believe, is where this hour of silence occurs. It is in heaven, we are told. Most in Biblical studies concerning Bible prophecy know of the day is as a thousand years principle (2 Peter 3:8). Working this out in hours, it happens that a half-hour by heavenly time as compared to earthly time, equals 20.83 years. It is my thinking this period of time is exactly what you answered, a time for the earth to catch its breath from the great, earth-shaking event of Revelation 6:12-17. What an event that will be: the whole earth shaking, mountains moved, islands moved, and what seems to be a time so severe men hide, thinking the world is coming to an end. Im thinking this period of silence allows humanity to recover from this devastation until other events begin to unfold. If this is correct, the Great Earthquake is announcing the coming of our Saviors wrath, which will then unfold after the recovery period of nearly 21 years of earth time.

You name the seven doctrines that make up the doctrine of Christ, and number six is baptism. I have been baptized four times and never born again in any of them (Anglican, Lutheran, Baptist and Assembly of God). I was finally born again at a Billy Graham crusade in Minneapolis when I was 38 years old, and I know I was born again because my life changed completely and I have never looked back (never wanted to). Now what I would like you to explain is baptism, please. I know that water baptism doesnt change a person, but when I was born again, I was changed completely. When I read the Book of John, I found out what born again meant, and it didnt mention baptism. So could you
Answer: The baptism of John was in preparation of the coming kingdom; that is, it recognized the King, Jesus Christ. Our baptism, practiced in the church, takes place after a person has been born again. He publicly demonstrates to the visible and invisible world that he is now buried in the likeness of His death, and raised in the likeness of His resurrection. Water baptism follows Spirit baptism, of which John the Baptist spoke, He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. There is only one baptism of the Spirit, which is identical with the rebirth,For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13).
Location of Hell Dear Brother Froese, Concerning Revelation 20:14, where death and hell are cast into the lake of fire (the second death), does this mean that hell will be relocated? Is hell currently in the heart of the earth below what was Abrahams Bosom, and was made for the devil and his angels? Since there will be a new heaven and a new earth after the 1,000 year reign of Christ, is it possible that the socalled black hole is where hell will be cast so that the new earth will not contain hell itself?

Answer: As far as the physical location of hell is concerned, I see no information in Scripture and will therefore make no attempt to speculate on this matter. From the Old Testament, we learn that the word hell means a location inside the earth. The ultimate destination of hell is the lake of fire: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (Revelation 20:14). My opinion is that we will never know the location.
This Generation Dear Editor, As a new subscriber to your timely publication, I find that I do indeed read each issue vigorously, especially the comments from your readers. I was especially taken by the letter from E. Crispell of Alabama and your somewhat vague and confused response to the inquiry regarding the budding of the fig tree in Matthew 24 and 25, and the generation factor which follows. There should be no question regarding this to a Biblical, prophetically inspired student of the Scripture. The subject event we refer to occurred on 2 November 1917, when the proclamation of the Balfour Declaration to establish a homeland for the Jews was announced. How can we be so assured that this is the proper date? Well, one need only consult the history of the Jews in Scripture, the reliable writings of Josephus Antiquities of the Jews, and modern historical events to see Gods amazing plan at work.
We begin with the 430 years of captivity when Israel departed Egypt on the self-same day of Jacobs arrival, followed by forty years of wandering because of unbelief. In 1 Kings, we see that from Gilgal where the sins of Egypt were forgiven, another 480-year segment followed until the dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem. Josephus tells us that the temple was in existence 470 years. Later, there were the 470 yearreigns of high preists until John Hercanus and the cleansing of the Temple. Of course, there is the well-known 490 years allotted to Israel. Consider then the 400 silent years before Christ. He being about 30 years of age when he began His ministry. The destruction of the Temple 40 years after His death (this is the first 400year cycle that projects beyond the biblical record). Entering the 20th century, we will see the 400-year cycle in effect. Four hundred years prior to the Balfour Declaration, amazingly almost to the day, we find Martin Luther posting his 95 Theses 31 October 1517 upon the Wittenberg door, emancipating the Jew (unwittingly to him) from under the heel of Rome. Another 30 years after the Balfour announcement to the day, we have the UN Resolution passed in 1947. In 1987, we saw the first stones fly inaugurating the first intifada of the Palestinians. As for the generation seeing this not to pass before its completion, we need to look no further
than Luke, where God extended the lives of two people to witness the birth of Jesus.

Answer: If we take 14 March 1948 as the beginning of this generation, then we must identify a biblical generation. From Abraham, we learn that 400 years are four generations. Hebrews 3 states that a generation is 40 years. A number of scholars insist on one generation as being 70 years. When using mathematics to determine certain events, we are treading on dangerous ground, particularly in view of the Lords coming, because He said He would come in an hour when ye think not. Zionism was verbalized by Theodor Herzl in his book, Der Judenstaat, published February 1896. Later on 29 August 1897, the first Zionist Congress was held in Basel, Switzerland. There Herzl proclaimed, Today, I have founded the state of Israel. Doubtless, the 1917 Balfour Declaration was helpful but not decisive. The spirit of Zionism empowered the Soviet Jews to take possession of parts of the Promised Land and establish the nation in spite of all opposition. We may disagree on how this process of founding the State of Israel took place, but we do agree that the Lord God takes care of His people in His ways, with the intention to take possession of all of the Promised Land: And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country (Ezekiel 34:13).
