masterpiecethe sculpture of St. Elizabeth, the patroness of our school. Elizabeth of Hungary lived for only a short yet experienced life as only few can. She was able to simultaneously balance the role of prosperous sovereign with humble servant of God. Even after her exile by her in-laws, in the years following her husbands death, she remained strong in her faith and never wavered in her devotion to the poor. She was an extraordinary woman who lived for less than a quarter of a century during the early portion of the 13th century, but made more of an impact on an entire country. Despite of this well-off life, she became the patroness of social work for she devoted her life in serving the less fortunate. As shes also the patron saint of nurses, hospital workers and charity workers, her image in our school serves as a constant reminder to someone graduating nursing training or embarking on charity work in a difficult and dangerous situation that in servicing with those in need they must do it with the same love she showed during her life.
