tHE SUStAINABLE MBA
I chose ASB for one reason only, ASB offers a unique MBA programme which corresponds in all aspects to the current world economic situation and that is exactly what I was looking for in an MBA. The real value of the programme is not only in the very professional manner it is constructed but also the network that it will create for my professional future. I chose Denmark for many reasons which include but are not limited to the innovative approach to business, education and life in general. However, Denmark stands strong on many of the top places in the world economy and economical rankings, and that makes it a suitable destination for business education.

Junior Consult
I decided to study in Scandinavia as I wanted to study and experience something culturally different from the standard studying abroad destinations like the UK, US and Australia. Choosing Denmark more specifically Aarhus is something that I will never regret. For me, Aarhus is a very conducive city for studying as it is small and cozy but on the other hand has sufficient social infrastructure for students to meet, network, exchange ideas and socialize. Furthermore, there are many unique historic and cultural experiences which one cant get from studying anywhere else, for example Viking History and Danish culture. I was very pleased with the high academic level and the research approach at ASB. My time at ASB has sparked a high interest in doing a PhD or another masters programme. I take pride in having graduated from a top ranked university.
Aarhus has long been known as a cultural centre, offering a rich and varied selection from just about every cultural genre.

Aarhus
Aarhus is Jutland peninsulas exciting and vibrant main city and the second largest in Denmark. Aarhus has a population of 300,000 and is centrally located in Denmark. The citys business development, its research and educational activities, the environment as well as the cultural and leisure activities combined with its strategic location makes Aarhus a very important economic growth area in Denmark.
Aarhus is situated by the sea in the heart of Jutland and is surrounded by several beautiful beaches and inviting marinas. The city has long been known as a cultural centre, offering a rich and varied selection from just about every cultural genre. Aarhus hosts its own cultural festival every year in September and offers more than 300 events in opera, dance, theatre, classical and rock music, and street performance.
Less formal, but not less important, is the local music environment which thrives in the citys many cafes, bars and restaurants; the result is a vibrant nightlife. Aarhus has six historical museums and two large fine arts museums as well as several smaller exhibition spaces and galleries.
Scandinavia
The Scandinavian countries Denmark, Norway and Sweden share a common history stemming from before the Viking era till todays modern democratic welfare state also known as the Scandinavian welfare state. The Scandinavian countries are some of the most environmentally sustainable, gender balanced and digitally interconnected societies in the world. Denmark is a relatively small country with only 5.5 million habitants, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in strategic location, political liability and quality of life, culture and education. After playing host to the climate change conference COP 15 in 2010, Denmark strives to transform the country to a global eco-hub. For several years, the Danes have demonstrated their environmental awareness. For example, water consumption has been reduced by almost 10% over the last 30 years, and more than 66% of all waste is recycled. In addition, Denmark is the world leader in wind energy with some of the largest producers of wind turbines located in and around Aarhus. Denmarks northern location means that summer days are long and lovely and winter days are short and dark. However the Danes have established cozy, festive traditions that bring life to the darker season, which are all explained to the international students in real life interaction throughout the academic year.
