From Tony Laiers Bench:

BORDERS USING D444

You will need the D444 stamp, straight edge, stylus, beveler of your choice, modeling tool and swivel knife. A) First make a light guideline on your cased leather at desired distance from edge of your project. Use a straight edge and stylus. B) Decide the angle you want to stamp the D444 and measure across face of stamp.

(C) Using that measurement, scribe the #2 border guideline. Cut guidelines with a swivel knife run along a straight edge and bevel to the inside with a smooth or checkered beveler of your choice. Lines may also be beveled with the spoon end of a modeling tool. D) Begin stamping. Touch tips of stamped impressions. Use guidelines to keep design straight.
