DEATH AND LIFE

✍From the Word

♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢

A Word of Explanation:
In Paleo (Ancient) Hebrew the characters of the Alefbeth (Alphabet)
are completely different to the modern Hebrew characters which
stem from the time of the Babylonian Exile of Judah. (Israel). In this
document I use the Paleo Hebrew characters to depict the Names of
the Almighty and that of His Son, our Mashiach (Messiah).

Why? Because it is literally in this form that the Creator wrote with
His finger, His own Autograph on the stone tablets of the Ten
Commandments. It is also in this form that the original Tanak (Old
Testament) scrolls were written. Therefore He made sure that His
Name was preserved perfectly for all generations.

Fatherʼs Name: (Pronounced YaHUaH - Hebrew is read

from right to left.)

Sonʼs Name: (Pronounced YaHUShA). Note that the first

three characters of both Names are the same and therefore sound
the same when vocalized - YaHU (Yahoo). When writing the Names
in English, I prefer to capitalize the English letters that are used to
represent the Hebrew characters of the Tetragrammaton (Four
Characters of the Name).

The Names are therefore not translated - carrying over the meaning
into English, rather they are transliterated - carrying over the vocal
sound to as far as possible reflect the original pronunciation.

DEATH AND LIFE

DEATH AND LIFE

?
What an unusual heading for an article. And why mention death first? Surely life
is what we are all striving for - in terms of a satisfying, enjoyable and abundant
life? Surely death comes only with the culmination of life. When life as we know
it ends, then death starts. So why in this heading, which is actually a question,
do I start with the dreaded word death?

Because that is also where Scripture starts when it wants to teach us about the
life that our heavenly Father wants each and every human being to attain. Our
Saviour said: Except a corn of wheat (seed) falls into the ground and dies, it
remains alone: but if it dies it brings forth much fruit. (life) John 12:24

The Original Seed:

So it is a creation principal that there can be no life in any form unless the seed
in which that life-form lies dormant, dies. All of creation originally came about
when the Almighty sowed the Seed of His “Word” into the empty void that
became the universe in which we find ourselves.

By the Word of were the heavens made;

and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
(Ps.33:6)

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed

by the Word of the Almighty...
(Hebrews 11:3)

That original Seed-Word is described in Scripture as the Almighty Himself. The

apostle Yahuchanan (John) puts it beautifully: In the beginning was the Word
(Seed), and the Word was with the Almighty and the Word was the Almighty...
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was
made. (Joh.1:1 & 3) Then in verse 14 Yahuchanan says something most
significant: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld
His radiance, the radiance of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and
truth.

What Scripture literally says here and in many other verses is that the Original
Seed-Word - the spiritual SEMEN of the Almighty - carrying within it His DNA,
was planted in the womb of Miryam (Mary) and that “Word” became flesh. The
Father , through His Spirit, impregnated Miryam with the Seed of His
Word, and that Word became flesh. Nine months after she was impregnated
Miryam gave birth to the only begotten Son of His Father , and at the

instructions of the Father to the babeʼs earthly parents, they named this Son
- meaning ʼs Salvation. The Son thus inherited and bore
His Fatherʼs Name. (Heb.1:4 & Phi.2:9-10) It is the same Name with the aspect
of salvation (WO - ShA) added for the sake of mankind.

What was the actual “Seed-Word” with which Miryam became pregnant? We
need to understand that it was an actual word - an alphabetical word that the
Father spoke in order to birth His Son into the world as the Second Adam -
Man. You see, EVERY WORD that is spoken by the Almighty or by a human
being created in the image of the Creator, is a seed. The moment a word is
spoken it is a seed that is sown. As soon as a word is sown (spoken) then that
seed dies - it is out of the mouth and planted into the land of the world. It dies
then and will bear much fruit. That is why a word that has already been spoken
cannot be taken back. Wheat that has been sown into a land is impossible to re-
gather again. Every sown word seed will eventually bear fruit. Words are seeds
that are sown the moment they are spoken. Those seeds will bring forth fruit,
either good fruit or bad, depending on whether the words spoken were good or
bad.

That Seed Word which germinated in the womb of Miryam and eventually
became the Son of (YaHUaH the Son - YaHUShA) was literally the
Word of the Fatherʼs Name - the Name . This “Word” of His Name is
the original SEED which brought forth creation for it is the only word that truly
identifies the only true Creator. Apart from the Name by which He introduced
Himself throughout the original Scriptures, there is no other word (name) that
can identify that awesome and invisible Being who is the origin of everything
that is.

Words:

In life, even though the majority of people are completely unaware of it, the
words they speak have a significant effect on their lives. This is because every
word a person speaks is a seed that is sown which will eventually bear fruit in
the life of the speaker. This principal is confirmed by Scripture.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue:

and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
(Proverbs 18:21)

Scripture actually shows here that the inclination of mankind in his

communication through the medium of words is towards the negative - death.
Notice in general language usage negative words are often used to express
positive thoughts. Dead right, wildly in love, damned good, unbelievably
beautiful etc. That is why this verse starts with the word death instead of life - to
show that the heart of fallen man ALWAYS inclines towards the negative or
death. Spoken words are powerful! The tongue has creative power! Depending
entirely on the words spoken, what is created will be either death or life which
will be the fruit that the speaker or hearer ultimately experiences.

My son, attend to My words; incline your ear to My sayings.

3
DEATH AND LIFE

Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart.
For they (His words) are life unto those that find them,
and health to all their flesh.
Keep your heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life.
Turn away from you a crooked mouth,
and put perverse lips far from you.
(Proverbs 4:20-24)

These five verses, in which Solomon is advising his son as to the importance of
his words of wisdom gained from his life experience, can more accurately be
applied to every son and daughter of the heavenly Father, for ultimately they are
His words. We are encouraged to attend to His words and to incline our ears to
His sayings. In other words, His words are to be regarded as extremely
important in the life of a believer. His words are to guide every part of our lives -
we are to attend to them, pay attention to, heed, listen to, occupy yourself with,
and be devoted to them. We are to commit ourselves to His words and love
them. Only then will they be life to you and literally health to your whole being
including your body.

But part and parcel to these instructions of the Almighty is that these words are
to be kept diligently within the heart. Then the heart is to be guarded more than
anything else in life. Why? Because all words originate from the heart, the
thoughts and inner being of a person - and what the heart is full of, the Saviour
said, the mouth will speak. We must therefore guard our hearts. We must
prevent negative thoughts from taking root there. For if they do, then negative
words will be spoken and these words will bring forth dead fruit. Therefore we
should often pray: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in Your sight, O , my strength, and my Redeemer. (Ps.
19:14)

Listen to the serious words of Messiah - the Word that became

flesh. These words are specifically directed to the Scribes and Pharisees -
those who regarded themselves as pious and righteous. However, these words
are also directed to each person that professes to be a believer. Only if we take
these words to heart and and allow the Spirit to search our hearts, will they
have a positive effect on our lives.

O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things?
for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things:
and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by your words you shall be justified,
and by your words you shall be condemned.
(Mat.12:34-37)

Yakov (James) was the half-brother of the Messiah. He thus grew up in the
same household, and without doubt learned much from his elder Brother
regarding this most important subject. Just look at what he teaches us about the
tongue.

4
DEATH AND LIFE

For we all stumble in many matters.

If anyone does not stumble in word,
he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the entire body.
Look, we put bits in the mouths of horses,
for them to obey us, and we turn their body.
Look at the ships too: although they are so big and are driven by strong winds,
they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot intends.
So too the tongue is a little member, yet boasts greatly.
See how a little fire kindles a great forest!
And the tongue is a fire, the world of unrighteousness.
Among our members the tongue is set, the one defiling the entire body,
and setting on fire the wheel of life,
and it is set on fire by Gehenna.
For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea,
is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
But no man is able to tame the tongue.
It is unruly, evil, filled with deadly poison.
With it we bless our Elohim and Father,
and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of Elohim.
Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing.
My brothers, this should not be so.
(Yaqob James 3:2-10 The Scriptures)

It is precisely because the tongue is such a dangerous part of the body that
Yakov encourages us most sternly:

So then, my beloved brothers,

let every man be swift to hear,
slow to speak, slow to wrath:
For the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of the Almighty.
Therefore put away all filthiness and overflow of evil,
and receive with meekness the implanted Word,
which is able to save your lives.
And become doers of the Word,
and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
(Yakov 1:19-22)

Bottom line then is that the words we speak govern our lives. That means we
can teach ourselves or be taught to speak words that will have a positive effect
on our lives. That is exactly what is taught throughout Scripture. Above I have
just selected a few verses that bears this out.

Sow the “Word”:

At the start of this article I mentioned that the original Seed-Word or “Word”
singular is in truth the Name . The Almighty set-apart His Name and
gave it to His people in order that they could use it as the Seed that is the
Source of His blessings in their lives. In the context of the New Covenant every
believer is a king and priest. (1 Pet.2:5 & 9, & Rev.1:6) As priests we have been

5
DEATH AND LIFE

given the right - actually the responsibility of speaking His Name out in order
that He may bless the one upon whom His Name was spoken.

And spoke unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying,
In this way you shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them.
bless you, and keep you:
make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you:
lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
And they shall put My Name upon the children of Israel;
and I will bless them.
(Numbers 6:22-27)

The Almighty couldnʼt have been clearer in His instructions to the priesthood.
Here He shows the priests (every believer) that they are to literally place His
Name upon His children by speaking it out. When that is done exactly as He
wants it to be done - according to the example that He gave, then He is able to
release His blessings.

The Name is thus the most important “Word” that a believer can
speak from the mouth. This “Word” of His Name is the Seed that is the source
of every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, in Messiah. (Eph.1:3) These
blessings include salvation, deliverance, healing, health, provision, protection
and much more. Believers can sow the Seed of these blessings into their own
lives as well by simply speaking this Name above all names over themselves..

What about the Name (YaHUShA)?

Ephesians 1:3 says that every spiritual blessing in heaven already belongs to us
“in Messiah”. This word Messiah (Christ) means the Anointed One or the
Anointing. According to Song of Solomon 1:3 the King ( ʼs) Name is
Ointment or the Anointing poured forth. It is poured forth when it is spoken.
Thus all these blessings belong to the believer “in the Anointing” - when the
believer speaks out that Name.

When the Word became flesh (John 1:14) and the Son was birthed
into this world, He adopted or inherited the Name . It is simply the
Fatherʼs Name with the word salvation (Sha) added to it. Therefore the believer
can speak these Names interchangeably. However, when we call on Him for
salvation which includes deliverance, healing, protection etc. then the Name
is more appropriate to use.

When the apostle Shaʼul (Paul) was teaching on this subject he explained it so
simply. He said that it was actually very easy to sow this “Seed Word”.

The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart:
that is the Word of faith which we preach.
That if you shall confess with your mouth the Master ,
and shall believe in your heart that the Almighty raised Him from the dead,
you shall be saved.
6
DEATH AND LIFE

For with the heart man believes unto righteousness;

and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says,
Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed...
For whosoever shall call upon the Name of shall be saved.
(Romans 10:8-11 & 13)

It is as simple as that. The “Word” of His Name is as close to the believer as his
heart and mouth. Therefore it can be sown at any time, for any purpose. He is
faithful to His “Word” and the believer who sows that Name faithfully shall not be
ashamed.
