Baypren 213-2

Type Characteristics Poly-2-chlorobutadiene-1,3 Baypren 213-2 is a chloroprene rubber with a medium rate of crystallisation which gives solutions of low viscosity and meets the special requirements of the adhesives industry. As Baypren 213-2 is not modified with sulphur or thiuram, it is particularly suitable for adhesives with minimal discolouration tendency. Form supplied Flat chips, powdered with talc to maintain the free-flowing properties (powder content max. 1%).

Product Datasheet

Baypren 213-2
Solubility / thinnability Readily soluble in aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons; soluble or strongly swelling in ketones and esters; virtually insoluble in white spirit; soluble in many solvent mixtures (see T.I.B. Adhesives Raw Materials no.1.2.2.). Please pay attention to the current safety data sheet. Multi-ply paper sacks of 25kg (200g), PE-coated bag liner. Pallet: 35 individual sacks stacked on a non-returnable pallet; each pallet shrink-wrapped with PE film. In the production of adhesives Baypren 213-2 is used either alone or together with Baypren grades with high rates of crystallisation, particularly if the adhesive needs the longest possible open time and does not have to meet very strict requirements with respect to setting and strength. Storage One year from date of shipment if properly stored (10-25C, dry, protected from direct sunlight). In isolated cases, the Baypren chips in the bottom sacks of pallet may stick together due to the dead load of the product. The chips can be separated by lightly shaking the sacks. Baypren chips tend to clump if stored improperly. The chips can then no longer be separated by shaking. Safety Hazards identification Not classified as a hazardous product as per Council Directive 67/548/EEC or 1999/45/EC. The safety data sheet should be observed. This contains information on labelling, transport and storage as well as on handling, product safety and ecology.
