How to GPU Mine Alt Coins (For Beginners)

1) Look at the exchanges and decide what coin you want to mine.
2) Download a coin Wallet you want to mine and install and keep it running.(Many are just extract and
drop in C: drive)
3) Search for the coin you decided ons pool and register.
4) Download latest cgminer version from here --> http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/
5) Extract it to C: directory (no sub folders)
6) Back to Pool Register your worker!! To go my account --> My workers --> Register new worker! (use
1,2,3,etc for worker names.)
7) Now you need to create a bat file to run your miner. All this is a notepad file saves as .bat at the end.

Here is a line you can use to create your bat files.
START C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://wdc.theblocksfactory.com:3334 -u john.1 -p
password --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2

Let me break this down for you:

START C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt (This part always stays the same)

-o Pooladdress:port = Pool Address and Port after the :

-u poolusername.worker p password = Username and Password with . Between the 2


And at the end is where you need the right info for your card by searching Google for Scrypt Settings
whatever card you have.(Once you know your settings its always the same for any bat file.
--thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 (This is for a 7970)
8) So once you know all your settings making a bat file takes 2 seconds and gets very simple to do. You
want to end up with a line similar to this and save as, all files StartCGMinerWDC.bat the WDC just
standing
For WorldCoin change to whatever you are mining. You can make 100's of bats as long as your
registered on each pool and have a wallet for each coin.
Here is what you should have when done with your info of course:
START C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://wdc.theblocksfactory.com:3334 -u john.1 -p
password --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2
9) Now simply Drop the batch file in the cgminer folder you dropped in C: Navigate to the folder with
cgminer and the .bat file
, Create a shortcut and place on your desktop, double click the shortcut. (You are now Mining!)
10) After your miner is running you have to mess with your card to get the max KHPS out of them. To do
this try i high memory and lower clock speed and tweak from there watching the miner as you tweak it.
Also you may be able to find some settings to get you in the right area on Google but just because one
card runs high KHS dont mean yours will, just be patient and tweak it, Make sure your fans are turned
up as you will be mining. (Working your cards for money)
