Leadership:
President of IIE (Institute of Industrial Engineers). Member of: IIE (Institute of Industrial Engineers), FES (Florida Engineering Society), & SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers). Co-Led Engineering Expo for Department. President of Alpha Pi Mu Leadership experience on a day to day basis during internship and part time work at Nielsen.
Community Engagement:
Coached and assisted coached little league hockey at Tampa Ice Sports Forum. Volunteered at IronKids triathlon. Volunteered for IIE at Raymond James Stadium Concessions. Fundraised and ran for cure for AIDs walk on behalf of Nielsen.
Language Competency:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Global Experience:
Being part of the Industrial Engineering department as a student and Student Organization leader, it has positioned me in a very diverse college, where on a daily basis I interact and work with students and staff from all backgrounds and locations. Successfully completed Emerging Leaders Internship at Nielsen (June August) Was offered part time work from Nielsen after internship until summer of 2013. Was offered and accepted full time position into Nielsens GBS ELP program.
Undergraduate Research:
Have completed one semester of Undergraduate Research. Note: Due to family issues, research couldnt fit into schedule.
University/State/National Scholarships:
I consistently apply for school/state/nationwide scholarships. I have been successful in obtaining scholarships. I have built and maintained great relationships with each professor in the department through class, research, student organizations, and representing the department. I have obtained a level of relationship with the professors to feel comfortable asking for a recommendation letters.
