The form of this poem is rhymes verse. This is because the poems have the repetition of the similar sounds at the end of every line. For examples, the word cool and school, late and straight, sin and gin and June and soon. be rhythmic. ll those words have the same sound when it is pronounce and made the poem to

!. The figurative language used in this poem is metaphor. This is because the used of the word "we# in the poem. The poet addressed herself as the teenagers in the poem who had been dropped out from school, play pool, drin$ing alcohol, and using vulgar language in their daily life to show that they are "cool# but actually it is not. This is to ma$e the poem more real than it is and easy for readers to understand it by addressing herself as the part of the teenagers. %. The sound effect used in the poem is rhyme. This is because the poet used two or more words that have the same sounding in the final syllables placed to echo one another. For example, the word cool and school. &oth the words end with 'ool sound that ma$es the poem feels rhythmic. &esides that, the poet also used alliteration in writing the poem. This can be seen because the poem begins with words that start with the same consonant letter. For example, the (l) sound in lur$'late, the (str) sound in stri$e'straight, and the (*) sound in *a++'June. The alliteration used allows the poem to flow smoothly.

,. This short poem delivers a powerful message in showing about the children who dropped out of school in their learning age. The poet argues that children who had dropped out of school, loitering and roaming along the streets is not "cool# at all but it shows the dead'end street for them. -n this poem, - $new that this poem is writing about the lifestyle of the teenager nowadays. Teenagers are the main role of this poem. They had .uit going to school and loiter along the streets without doing anything that is benefits to them. They often play pool in pool hall, drin$ing alcohol and using vulgar language in their daily life. Their daily life is carefree and only consists of those entertainments that will harm and not benefits

for their own future. They have no ob*ective in their life and *ust waste their time with all those activities. &esides that, they often play pool in the pool hall that will only use up all their money and will not gain their money and finally this will lead the to the grave of their life because they will borrow money from the others *ust to have the entertainment and lastly end up with no money to pay bac$. The victims in the poem who undergo self destruction will finally ended up by getting nothing in their life because they had never try to earn money that are legal by themselves and never get enough education in this !1 st century which is full of competition to increase their level of $nowledge and also increase in their self confidence. s a conclusion, children especially teenagers who had started up their precious life in such a way, most of them will be ended up in a sad and worthless life of their own and living without any ob*ectives. /. The moral values that - can learn in this poem is we should appreciate our life that had been given by our 0od and of course our father and mother without doing things that do not bring benefits to us such as loitering, dropping out from schools drin$ing alcohol and using vulgar language in daily life that will let them worry about in our life. &esides that, we should also appreciate that we are still giving chances to go to school to attend classes and gain useful $nowledge for ourselves. 1e should not do some activities that will lead us to be drop out from the school and finally ended up without gaining and getting anything but deteriorate our life. 1e should also love ourselves without harming ourselves with those worthless activities that not even will harm us and also will harm the others. -t is not mean that teenagers who go pooling, drin$ing alcoholic drin$s and been dropped out from school are "cool# but the otherwise.
