Courses pursued in Coursera:

Digital Signal Processing (Statement of accomplishment) Introduction to Power Electronics

Internships, Projects and Thesis:

Thesis: Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (2013)
Project: Pattern formation in physical systems Skills and Requirements: Nonlinear Dynamics, c/c++, gnu plot, qti plot, SciDavis, Matlab, Euler discretization. Description: This thesis was about modelling of non-linear systems. Pattern formation is the science which deals with visible, (statistically) orderly outcomes of self-organization and the common principles behind similar patterns. Many of these systems have been modelled using various types of differential equations.

Internships:
National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies, New Delhi (2012) Project: India Patenting Activity in Nanotechnology - A Comparative Study Skills and Requirements: MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Description: We examined the Indian Patents in Nanotechnology filed in the USPTO, WIPO and EPO under all subclasses in the class pertaining to nanotechnology during 2001-2011 quantitatively. For benchmarks, Indian Patents have been compared with Russia and Brazil in recent years. We also identified the core areas of research activity and growth during the research period. NTPC, Badarpur (2010) Project: Overview of the Functioning and Principles of the Instrumentation used in a Thermal Power Plant Description: We learnt about various instruments used for monitoring and control at NTPC, Badarpur. Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (2009) Project: Pattern formation in reaction diffusion equations Skills and Requirements: Nonlinear Dynamics, c/c++, gnu plot, Euler discretization. Description: Study of real world problems described by nonlinear partial differential equations via numerical analysis and obtaining a qualitative solution having some sort of pattern. This project was about modelling of non-linear systems.

Projects (at BITS, Pilani Goa Campus):

Project: Dynamics of sinusoidally forced Hodgkin-Huxley neuron I & II (2012) Skills and Requirements: Nonlinear Dynamics, Matlab, 4th order Runge-Kutta methods, basic understanding of functioning of neurons. Description: We have studied the behaviour of neurons when a constant stream of sinusoidal current is passed through a neuron Project: Finding periodic orbits of chaotic maps (2011) Skills and Requirements: Nonlinear Dynamics, C/C++, gnu plot, Newton -Raphson method. Description: In this project we studied discrete maps using difference equation recursion algorithm.
