CAMP RULES

OBJECTIVE: These camp rules are designed to ensure that the stay of all residents within the camp is as much as possible, comfortable and safe. . Please take note of and abide by the following rules and regulations whilst you are staying in the camp. General 1. The camp is closed to Unauthorized Persons. Camp Management shall ensure that only authorised personnel are granted access to the camp. Visitors must gain approval from the CJJV Camp Manager before they are allowed to enter the camp. All camp residents must be registered with the security section and shall be issued with CJJV ID card, which must be worn at all times when outside of the accommodation units. Security may search personal bags upon entry and exit from the Camp for prohibited substances or the unauthorized possession of company property. Fire arms, or weapons of any kind are not permitted anywhere within the site boundaries. Illegal drugs or alcohol in the camp area are totally prohibited at any time. Entering a room of any member of the opposite sex, for any reason except when assigned work is strictly prohibited. Violators are subject to disciplinary action, in accordance with site rules and regulations. Gambling within the Camp is strictly prohibited. Residents are not allowed to operate any kind of business within the Camp. Once allocated a room, residents must not change or transfer from their allocated accommodation without the written approval of Camp Manager. The Camp Management shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the camp Residents or visitors personal property.. Residents shall keep and maintain in good condition all the equipment, supplies and other property provided by the company. It is the responsibility of every resident to report immediately to the camp office any loss, damage or defects found on any of the camps property, equipment or supplies. Furniture and fixtures in the common area are for everyones use and should be treated with respect. Apart from utilization of electric kettle (to heat water for tea or coffee), residents are strictly prohibited from any form of cooking in their respective bed rooms, common rooms and /or outside their assigned accommodation. Please avoid excessive noise by keeping the volume of TVs, Videos and CD Players down at a reasonable level. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings and permitted only in the designated area within the camp. Smoking while in beds is strictly prohibited, as it is a potential fire hazard. 17. Residents sending laundry for washing must use the laundry slip provided. Washing without a laundry slip shall be returned to the residents room unwashed. 18. Mess Hall timing Monday to Saturday Breakfast 05:00 07:00 Lunch 11:30 13:00 Dinner 18:00 20:00 Sunday and National Holidays Breakfast 05:30 08:00 Lunch 11:30 13:30 Dinner 18.00 20:00 The above timings are subject to change, due to requirements at site. Only Catering Personnel and Authorized Persons are permitted to enter the kitchen or any food preparation or food storage facility. A clean and reasonable standard of dress is required in the dining and recreation rooms. No bare chests will be allowed. All Tap water within the Camp is classified Potable and fit for consumption. Keeping of pets/animals/birds/snakes etc inside/outside the room not allowed. Tampering with or making illegal connection to the existing cable TV system, including extension to individual rooms is strictly prohibited. Should any additional furniture/fixture or electrical equipment be brought in by residents to the camp, such items should be declared at the camp office prior to installation. Camp residents and visitors shall not remove or tamper with smoke detectors. Any person found interfering with the fire extinguishers or other fire fighting equipment shall be removed from the camp immediately without further warning.
