The faculy of Economics at the University of Paris is one of the most reputed Economics departments in France and in the world. The PSME recrutes highly competitive international students wishing to complete their master studies in Economics at the Sorbonne. It is a 1st year of graduate studies which offers Economics courses taught in English. Intensive French courses are also offered to prepare students to enrol in the 2nd year of specialized master studies in French. The master thesis, to be prepared for the end of the 1st year, corresponds to an MSc thesis. PSME graduates may apply to the regular 2ndyear M2 programs offered by Paris 1 with classes in French and/or English and thus have access to one of the most comprehensive M2 programs existing in France, which includes more than 100 different courses, structured in about 20 specialized programs. Upon successful completion of the 1st year of master studies in the PSME program, graduates will receive a University Diploma for the Pantheon Sorbonne MSc in Economics. Upon successful completion of the 2nd year specialized master program, graduates will receive the title of Master from the University of Paris in their specialized field of study.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Graduates are highly advised to apply to one of the specialized M2 programs offered at the university. Past PSME graduates have been accepted to the following M2 programs: ETE, Globalization, Bank and Finance. Graduates with the full 2 year Master degree will be well-equipped to pursue a PhD or to begin a career in their chosen field. Some students choose to find work directly after the 1st year PSME program in various fields such as banking, investment, economics, etc. and hold titles such as economist, manager, or researcher.

Every year we welcome 20-30 students as part of a double degree with one of the top Universities in China. Students in the double degree complete the 1st year in the PSME program and the 2nd year in the Globalization Research master program at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

International students fluent in English with a bachelors degree in Economics or related coursework may apply. For French students, the Licence + English language certificate is required. No GMAT or GRE required.
