Instructions for using this utility Hello friends! This utility calculates the short term capital gains on shares under the FIFO Method. It is very simple to use and it saves a lot time as you just have to enter the opening stck, Purchases and s the STCG for you
What is FIFO Method? First In First Out Method persuades that the units which have been purchased first should be considered
Eg: You bought 300 Shares of RPL @Rs. 150Per Share, then you again purchased 300 Shares of RPL @Rs. sold 400 shares @ Rs. 180 Per Share and you wish to know the gain on this sale. Now out of 400 units sol first lot (bought @ Rs. 150 per share) and 100 from next lot (bought at Rs. 175 per share) and thus the tota 300x150+100*175 ie Rs. 62500 and the total sale value is already known ie 180x400 = 72000 and thus th 9500
First of all, the most important thing is that the Sales and purchase entries are to be entered date wise. If from some other location, then it must have been sorted date wise before it is pasted in this utility
