I was looking for a thin pen drive to fit in my wallet at a nominal price range. The Sony Micro vault USM-V8 is the perfect solution. Received it on the second day of order placement. Good service as usual from flipkart. About the product Pros: 1. Thin (2.3mm). It fits perfectly in my wallet. Its actually thinner than a Rs.5 Coin 2. Its thin throughout the entire length 3. Weighs next to nothing (1.5g) 4. Nominal price for its size (Rs.365 as i write this review). About Rs.45 per GB Cons: 1. Properties tab shows that it has only 7.23GB. I feel this is slightly lesser than the other ones (my old SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8GB shows 7.5GB) 2. It is quite possible to flip it and insert it upside down in to your USB slot. Things not so sure about: 1. Not sure about the transfer rates 2. Durability. (2 pcs of my old Sandisk Cruzer blade has been with me for about 3yrs now in all harsh conditions and still working perfectly). Will have to wait to check how long this lasts. Thanks Flipkart for your speedy delivery. I am dissapointed because I received a different design even after a replacement. The Golden strips shown online are not the same as shown here. It is as ordinary pendrive with 4 strips. I bought it because it was stylish compact and it was different from other pendrives but i was wrong. If the strips doesn't matter much then its the best choice.. If there was a file attachment to my review I would have added the original pic of the product. I am gonna adjust with it, but are you???

I always love sony products just because for their innovative products.. this what i'm seeking from few months and finally got it.. this pendrive is very thin like coin.. you can keep the pendrive in your wallet also.. eventhough this pendrive is being made from plastic this is durable compared to other Jumbo size pendrives and also it don't have cap. Data transforming speed is down 4 MBPS and up 15 MBPS.. this speed is worth for 330 Rs micro pendrive.. bcz sony is the most trusted brand globally you can believe this product and i suggest all to buy this pendrive.. and thanx to flipkart to deliver this pendrive to me within 3 days.. I'm not satisfied for one thing i.e Flipkart removed cash on delivery option in our area.. finally i'm giving 5 stars to this product..no doubt 5 star is deserved for this product.. thanx for reading my review

I purchased it as I wanted a compact pendrive for my car stereo. This works well, and is good quality build - same as shown in the picture. Appearence is great, but remember its hard plastic, not metal. Read speed ~10 MB/s Write speed ~4 MB/s Comparing it to Sandisk Cruzer Fit - Well, its not as tiny, and lacks the access LED, so I would still prefer the Cruzer Fit for car stereo when its in-stock next. For general Laptop usage, I would recommend one of the HP Metal or Sandisk full size Pen Drives with around 6-10 MB/s write speeds. The only use for this would be if you need to carry one emergency disk in your wallet, or key chain. Size wize comparison, when inserted inside the USB slot, the Sandisk Cruzer Fit finishes where this drive's SONY text starts. But Pulling out the Sony drive is easy due to the thumb space.

But that's true for most of the storage devices.
