Mohd Isa Harun has been an active employee and contributor to Sony EMCS (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. st from 1991 to 31 Dec 2012. Below are some of the highlights of his career path along with the traits that testify to his success. 1991: Engineer in Product Engineering Department. He was involved in the product design, coordinated team work among related departments, conduct FMEA, setting part specification, performing tests, approving new parts, and contributed to the smooth new product (radio, tape recorder, walkman, radio cassette player and compact disc player) introduction with excellent quality. He was also responsible for the document issuance, such as Bill of Material, mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, product specification, Engineering Change Notice and Process Change Notice. 1997: Senior Engineer. In-charge of the first Personal Mini Disc (PMD) model introduced in Malaysia. He has achieved the cost down target of RM2million/year, for consecutive 3 years. He was also appointed as the Product Safety Representative for Engineering Department, to ensure compliance of safety regulation (UL, CCC, CE, etc) of destination countries. 2000: After promoted to Staff Engineer (Assistant Manager), he was the Project Leader to guide a group of engineers to introduce new product category of accessory (wireless headphone, wireless speaker, MP3 and MP4 Portable Player). 2004: He led a group of engineers to introduce successfully the first Bluetooth headphone models. He was trained as the qualified Internal Auditor for ISO9000, ISO14000 and ISO18000, and he was appointed as the ISO PIC for Engineering Department. He has good knowhow in calibration management. 2005: He took up the project to introduce the new robotic speaker SONY ROLLY. 2011~2012: Department Head of the newly formed OEM/Subcon Management operation. He has powered up the sub-cons and made the sub-cons to be independent from Sonys guidance and monitoring. The sub -cons have achieved the stringent KPI result and been awarded the Excellent Quality Award.
