Our lesson last meeting was all about homonyms. Homonyms are words that sound alike but have different meaning and spelling. Wear, were, where

D. Discussion Today we will discuss about Identifying Synonyms and Antonyms What is Synonyms?

Synonyms are words that has the same meaning or almost same meaning as another word.

Very good! I have an example of synonyms. Listen to me I have to memorize the poem Generosity.

Generosity A random act of kindness Volunteering to help others Refusing to judge others, Donating money to help a cause Generosity. . . without an agenda Calmness in the midst of stress, Positive humor to weather the storm Generosity . . . a gift from the heart What is the poem all about? What kind of person is illustrated in the poem. What kind of person is illustrated in the poem is similar to generosity? It is all about the generous person. A person that have a generous heart. The word is similar to generosity are kindness, donating, volunteering, calmness, positive humor.

Class lets go back to the song we sung earlier. Can you find out those words that are synonymous to each other? Who can give other examples? Can you use it in a sentence? Antonyms are words that are opposite in meaning
