2 New collection device or technology support

2.1 Ascom Symphony

[Case 81544] Added support for Ascom Symphony version 6.2.

2.2 Ascom TEMS

[Case 944, 80909, 81340, 81509] Added support for Ascom TEMS Investigation 14.5 and Ascom TEMS Pocket 12.4. [Case 80584, 80724] In LTE, the algorithm that detects the technologies supported by a particular device has been improved. Before this release, devices that supported both LTE and UMTS could only be detected as LTE-only devices. [Case 81361] In LTE, a problem has been resolved that affected Samsung Galaxy S3 devices and caused most messages to be decoded incorrectly as CDMA messages. [Case 80211] In EVDO, support for the Huawei M860 handset has been improved. [Case 46296, 80761] In CDMA, a problem affecting Qualcomm MSM 6500 chipset has been resolved that caused most messages to be decoded incorrectly.

2.3 Ericsson UETR/GPEH support

Added support for LTE UETR/CTR version L12A. Added support for LTE UETR/CTR version L12B. Version L12B is supported to the same level as version L12A. There are no new attributes for L12B in this release.

2.4 Huawei call trace support

[Case 80431] A problem has been resolved that prevented some Huawei call trace files (with the file name extension .TMF) from loading in Analyzer, when the log file header was longer that Analyzer expected.

Actix Analyzer Update

UMTS NBAP UMTS RNSAP

The cellrefs look-up algorithm has been improved. This algorithm that finds the sector in the cellrefs file based on the radio measurements from the log file (for instance UARFCN and scrambling code in UMTS) now factors in the following information (in addition to the distance which was already used): The type of cell (macro cell, small cell, or indoor cell). The azimuth and beamwidth of the sector.

[Case 1445] In HSPA, a problem has been resolved that could prevent attributes Uu_Source_Cell_for_HS_mobility and Uu_Target_Cell_for_HS_mobility from being set. [Case 80137] A problem has been resolved that restricted the attribute RTP_Lost_Packets to CDMA licenses. The following UMTS call trace thresholds have been moved in the Tools > Display Thresholds dialogue box from UMTS > UE_Coverage to UMTS_CT > UE_Coverage: CT_Poor_EcNo_Threshold CT_Poor_RSCP_Threshold

3 Application layer improvements

None.
