INT. ARIES HALLWAYS - NIGHT From the walls to the ceiling, everything in these halls is made of steel.

The florescent lights on the ceiling are dimmed, but still, even with the lights its hard to see anything. A man in a dark coat, black rubber mask and his head covered in a hood carries a body bag over his shoulder. The body bag has a few small holes poked into it. The body bag shakes as the unseen human within it struggles. Muffled female screams come from the bag. The masked man pulls out something from his coat pocket: a syringe filled with a light blue liquid that glows in the dark. The masked man stabs the syringe into the body and the person within stops struggling. The man continues to walk through the halls, only to come upon a door. He enters the door, closing it behind him, and the room has a clear label next to it: I21-1. DR. BRAHES LAB. EXT. THE GUARDIANS QUARTERS - DAY MARA, looks 35, a female feline humanoid with a similar appearance to the clouded leopard, sighs and knocks onto a door, standing in the steel halls. Who is it? THE GUARDIAN (O.S.)

MARA Its Mara, the Security Forces Leader. THE GUARDIAN (O.S.) Oh, Ill be right there! THE GUARDIAN, 32, a radiant woman with powder blue hair and dressed in a purple kimono opens up the door. THE GUARDIAN (CONTD) Hello there! Please, come in. Mara walks into the room. INT. THE GUARDIANS QUARTERS - CONTINUOUS The Guardians Quarters is furnished like a grandmothers house; the place is full of girly antique furniture, teacups and teapots, and a billion knick knacks that have no practical use.

2. Mara looks over the room and cringes. THE GUARDIAN Oh, Is there something wrong? MARA No, the color pink just... hurts my eyes. THE GUARDIAN I was talking about why you decided come to my room. MARA I need to talk to you about some disappearances. THE GUARDIAN Fantastic! Well why dont you and I talk over a bit of tea? Mara and the Guardian sit down at her table. A small pink robot thats mostly made up of an LCD panel exhibiting an extremely simple digital face flies over to the two with a teakettle. The robot pours them both a cup of a clear, purplecolored tea. The Guardian gives it a small peck on the cheek. The robot blushes and flies away. MARA What a... unique home for someone whose supposedly a Martian. THE GUARDIAN I had this all shipped up from some website called Space Amacron. Earth makes quite the interesting objects, I must say! MARA Well, Im here to talk business. We appointed you the Guardian of all Mars Expeditions because you wanted to make sure that people were safe from the hazards of Mars. Now, has there been any expeditions that I havent been told about? Or any casualties out there on the field? The Guardian stops and thinks for a moment and sips her tea. THE GUARDIAN No, I cant think of anything like that.

3. Mara groans. THE GUARDIAN (CONTD) Why do you ask? Mara sips her own tea. MARA We recently got information back our monthly census. Four people have gone missing from the colony. THE GUARDIAN Oh, goodness! MARA Yeah, its a mess. Unfortunately, Im going to have to cut this short. I have interviews set with the families in about twenty minutes. THE GUARDIAN Wait! Can I help you? Mara raises an eyebrow. MARA Why do you want to help me? THE GUARDIAN Well, what if this is something from mars that got into the colony? Then its part of my job, right? Protecting people from the hazards of Mars. Mara groans again and stands up. MARA Are you sure that you can handle this? THE GUARDIAN Yes, most certainly! MARA Then come with me.

4. INT. MARAS OFFICE - DAY Maras office is extremely simplistic in comparison to the Guardians room; its got a large desk with a computer and not much else; the room is large, but mostly empty. Eight people, half men, half women stand around her desk as both Mara and the Guardian sit in chairs at the desk. Mara jots down one last note onto her computer, and then looks over at the crowd. MARA All right, thats all we need. Well call you if you need anything else. The crowd of people disperses. When the final person leaves the door, Mara puts her hand to her face, letting out a scream of frustration. MARA (CONTD) Theres no pattern! Sex, Age, social connection, occupation, nothing! Weve got squat! Mara pounds her head into her desk before resting her head on it. THE GUARDIAN Um, actuallyMara looks up. THE GUARDIAN (CONTD) There is a connection. The Guardian pulls up a map of the colony on the computer. THE GUARDIAN (CONTD) Every single victim was on their way to something. Either they were going home, going to the cafeteria or going to another colonists quarters. The Guardian draws several lines on the map to simulate the path the victims would have taken to their destination. THE GUARDIAN (CONTD) Theres a single point where all these paths converge.

5. The guardian zooms into a single, small hallway labelled I21. Mara sits up and looks at the Guardian in amazement. MARA I think who our primary suspect is. On the computer, Mara points out the only room connected to I21; Dr. Brahes lab. INT. SHARED LAB - DAY The shared lab is a large area with several large lab tables. TThe room is covered in steel, much like the rest of the colony and several roughly six scientists circle around one table with a large high-tech engine on it. One of the scientists taking a look at this is DR. BRAHE, 24, a dark-haired man with large bags under his eyes. EUGENE STONE, a shorter man in a labcoat approaches Dr. Brahe and whispers into his ear. EUGENE STONE Dr. Brahe, we have a problem. Youre being investigated as we speak. Dr, Brahe looks at the man and walks away from the table and he and the man walk over to an emptier corner of the room. DR. BRAHE What is it, Eugene? EUGENE STONE Please, dont call me by that name. DR. BRAHE Whatever, who is investigating me? EUGENE STONE The Security Forces Leader and the Guardian! DR. BRAHE Oh, is that all? EUGENE STONE Is that all?! I helped you with your experiments! I helped you murder those-

6. DR. BRAHE Were you there for me last night? Little Eugene, always trying to keep his own hide rather than mine. Dont worry your little head about it, Eugene. Dr Brahe smirks. DR. BRAHE (CONTD) Theyre not smart enough to figure it out. Ill throw them off our scent. Dr. Brahe walks out of the lab. EXT. DR. BRAHES LAB - DAY The Guardian knocks onto the door. MARA Security! Open up! The door opens and theres Dr. Brahe, smiling at the two. DR. BRAHE What can I do for you two? MARA We have reason to believe youve been murdering and/or abducting colonists. Were here to search your lab. DR. BRAHE All right, then. Search away! The two walk into Dr. Brahes lab. INT. DR. BRAHES LAB - DAY Dr. Brahes lab is a mess, his furniture mainly consists of a desk, a lab table and a cot, Everything is covered in papers, chemicals, clothing, beakers, glasses and lab equipment. THE GUARDIAN Oh, how unsightly? DR. BRAHE I apologize, I wouldve cleaned up if I realized there was going to be guests.

7. Mara glares at Dr. Brahe, then looks at the Guardian. MARA Lets get to searching, then. The two begin looking through the mess that is Dr. Brahes lab. An hour later, however, they both sit on the floor, frusturated and tired. Nothing! Dr. Brahe laughs. DR. BRAHE Well, Ive got a meeting to go to so if you two wouldnt mind leavingMARA Yeah, no. Were not going anywhere until we completely search this room. DR. BRAHE Well, suit yourself, but you wont be finding anything. Mara glares at Dr. Brahe as he leaves the room. MARA All right, were going to search this room and find something even if it kills us. The Guardian nods and smiles, standing up and walking to the lab table. On her way there a steel floor plate makes a distinct sound- the sound of something hollow. The Guardian looks curiously at the plate see that isnt screwed into the floor. The Guardian grabs the floor plate to find a tunnel, with a makeshift ladder built into it. THE GUARDIAN I dont think that well have to look for much longer. INT. DR. BRAHES SECRET LAB The Guardian and Mara go down the tunnel to find the secret lab, dug into the earth of Mars. The lab is small, but its used well enough. There are five human-sized glass pods that have fogged up, along with a lab table with several organs on it and another computer. MARA (CONTD)

8. MARA A secret lab, huh? Brahe, you son of a bitch. The Guardian and Mara look through the lab, Mara looking at hte organs and The Guardian at the glass pods. Mara groans as she pokes at the organs, curiously eyeing them. The Guardian wipes away the condensation from the glass tube, only to scream in terror. Mara looks back, and puts her hand on the Guardians shoulder. MARA (CONTD) Whats wrong? THE GUARDIAN Theres- Theres something... Mara looks at the tube herself, only to see a half mutilated, half mutated human being, their arms mutated into something strange and alien, separating into tentacles but their lower half is completely gone. Mara pulls out a photo of one of the victims, the victims face matching the experiments face. MARA All right. Im going to see if I can find anything in that computer and then well go to arrest him. Mara sits down at the computer, and turns it on, but is immediately stopped when the screen goes blank and a computerized voice comes from the computer, saying the same thing over and over again. COMPUTER VOICE Alert! Dr. Brahe has been told of your trespassing. Alert! INT. SHARED LAB - DAY Dr. Brahe and several other scientists are studying a martian lizard this time around, only for Dr. Brahe communicator to beep, he pulls out the cell phone-like device from his pocket. The screen of the communicator shows a live feed of the Guardian and Mara in his secret lab.

9. Before he knows it, the entire colony has gone into Alert mode, the lights turning into a red color and a similar computerized voice echoing through the colony, over and over again. COMPUTER VOICE Alert! Dr. Brahe must be apprehended! Alert! Dr. Brahes colleagues stare at him, as he stands there, stunned. He shoves the communicator into his pocket and runs out of the lab. Shit! DR. BRAHE

INT. ARIES HALLWAYS - DAY Dr. Brahe runs through the red halls, managing to avoid colonists in his way. As he runs, he notices two people that are far behind him: Mara and the Guardian. He speeds up, shoves a colonist out of his way and moves into the Port section of the colony. INT. ARIES PORT - CONTINUOUS The Aries Port is a small spaceport with only a few escape pods and a couple police ships. The escape pods arent very well-equipped but the ships clearly have weapons. The space port is a large pier of steel with several space ships on it, and the entrance to the colony is behind a wall of glass and steel. Theres a receptionist on a computer with several space helmets next to him along with suits. DR. BRAHE Get me off of this rock! The receptionist presses a few keys. RECEPTIONIST First one from the left. EXT. MARS Dr. Brahe, in his tiny spacecraft flies above the red surface of mars and the tower-like colony thats set in the mountain.

10. INT. BRAHES ESCAPE POD - CONTINUOUS Dr. Brahe laughs heartily as he takes the controls of the ship. EXT. MARS - CONTINUOUS A police ship follows the escape pod, its red and blue lights flaring. INT. BRAHES ESCAPE POD - CONTINUOUS Dr. Brahe screams out in frustration, seeing whose trailing behind him on his ships display. Damn it! DR. BRAHE

EXT. MARS - CONTINUOUS The police ship shoots down the escape pods engines, the escape pod crashing down onto the surface. INT. BRAHES ESCAPE POD - DAY Dr. Brahe opens his eyes, his face covered in bruises and blood, and sees that his escape pod is a destroyed wreck, yet hes still breathing. He looks around, but soon finds that a set of handcufs are on his wrists. Mara and the Guardian stand over him, Mara grinning like a maniac. MARA Dr. Brahe, youre under arrest for illegal experimentation and the murder of four colonists. INT. ARIES PORT - NIGHT Two large guards in space gear take away Dr. Brahe, in chains. Mara and the Guardian stand there, both with huge smiles. THE GUARDIAN Have fun at the penal colony. MARA Be sure to write. Dr. Brahe simply growls as hes taken off to their ship.
